The Hillsong Movie “Let Hope Rise” To Be Released Nationwide September 16

I’ve been privileged to be an Executive Producer on the feature film “Let Hope Rise,” that tells the story of the world’s most popular worship band – Hillsong United, based at Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia.  Film distributor Pure Flix will be releasing the movie to theaters nationwide starting September 16th.  We’re proud of the band, the movie, and thrilled that a global audience will see the story of a church worship band that’s sold out venues like The Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks, Madison Square Garden, and other world-class venues.  The film gets to the heart of what motivates them to do it and the challenges they face in the process.

My wife Kathleen and I watched the latest with the movie’s producer Jonathan Bock, and Hillsong founder and pastor Brian Houston.  It’s a great experience – and it’s being released in Surround Sound so you’ll experience the music as if you were right in the venue.  Mark your calendar, load up your friends, and start sharing this post.

The world needs to see why worship music is impacting millions of people around the globe.

  1. I’m excited about the Hillsong movie! I just wish Hillsong didn’t take over The Church Channel. Quite a number of programs were cancelled to make way, including our own ministry’s “Christ in Prophecy,” and that’s really hurt our viewership. I assume the launch of the rebranded network was in step with the movie’s soon release?

    1. That was tough Nathan. I know a number of others who were moved as well. But The Church Channel rebrand wasn’t connected to our movie at all. We were in production years ago. I do hope your program lands in a good place!

  2. Dear Phil, wonderful to see this Hillsong movie released. I remember so well when you showed the first trailer of the movie here in Pretoria within the large church where Hillsong had actually performed live a few years previously. Hope to see “Let Hope rise” be released in South Africa soon. Any idea of the date?

  3. Awesome Phil, we can’t WAIT!! Been praying since we watched the trailer as we realize the enemy will NOT want this POWERFUL movie released- BUT GOD is SO FAITHFUL and we know He allowed it to be held back ‘for such a time as this’… We’ve told SO MANY people in our SoCal sphere to be praying & watching & waiting… Can’t wait to pass along the actual opening!!
My husband, Bill & I are the San Diego Directors for HPN- We would love to help with a screening for ministry leaders here in San Diego!
