Christian writer and filmmaker Ken Anderson, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2006. He was 88 years old. If you’re a Christian in the media business today, you owe a significant debt to Ken. I never met him, but he was out there with a film camera before many of us were born, telling stories to express his faith.
Anderson launched Gospel Films in 1949 in Muskegon, Michigan. More than 200 Christian films have been produced since Anderson launched his ministry, including original dramas in many foreign countries. Anderson is probably best remembered for his movie Pilgrim’s Progress, produced in 1977. Anderson’s writing career spanned seven decades. He published 77 books, including Where to Find it in the Bible, in 1996.
