Do you ever get tired of dealing with idiots, jerks, egomaniacs, budgets, lack of vision, rules, deadlines, guidelines, and timelines? You could always just deal with it. In fact, you could wallow in it, and many people do. After all, it gives you some great reasons for complaining, and if you’re a complainer, then go for it. But if you’re different, innovative, and original, then you simply have to rise above it. There are plenty of websites, books, and simplistic quotes that tell you “The 10 Easy Steps For Dealing With Frustration,” but the truth is, they don’t work.
It’s really a matter of rising above the noise, the petty, the snarky, the arrogant, the ignorant, the annoying, and the rest.
Is the constant complainer in the cubicle next to you really worth you worrying about? Is the unrealistic client worth the grief? Is your jerk boss really worth spending years with?
Two quotes come to mind:
You can’t complain about what you permit.
Your attitude determines you altitude.
Be faithful to the call. Rise above.
