…and it’s not just the content, it’s the media itself. French scientists at Unitersite de Bretagne-Sud noted that the louder the music in a bar, the more alcohol men aged 18-25 purchased. The study also noted that if they played French music, orders of French wine increased. Retail stores have long used music to change people’s attitudes and impact buying habits, and this is just one more confirmation. (And people still tell me they watch TV for hours and it doesn’t impact them…)
