The Wall Street Journal had a great article today about how the American Library Association’s “Banned Books Week” is built on a myth. They’re promoting something way out of context, especially when statistics show that the vast majority of requests to remove books from libraries are about parental concerns about age-appropriate books for children. And yet they’ve built a $54 million empire trying to convince us that they know more about what’s appropriate for our children than we do. Read the article. More people need to know the truth.
