Susan Boyle, "As Seen on YouTube"

Music marketing continues to evolve with British sensation Susan Boyle releasing her album to the tune of 700,000 sales the first week - the biggest music marketing week in 2009. But what's most interesting is the sticker on the CD that says "As Seen on Youtube." Her success was attributed to the incredible number of viral plays of her music online, and it's hard to think of an artist that has benefitted quite so much from social marketing. 700,000 sales in the first week? And you think social marketing doesn't matter?
