Marriage Drama From Juanita Bynum

For a woman who's TV appearances are often filled with over-the-top performances (as in a TBN appearance last year when she preached while rolling on stage on sheets covered in anointing oil), the Charlotte Observer reports what might be an incident of interest to Juanita watchers.

Dr. Cooke,

I have read numerous reports regarding the incident involving Bynum and her husband. It is very shocking and I was deeply grieved. Please forgive me if I misconstrued your words, but domestic violence is not a performance. Regardless if one disagrees her sermonic "performances" or theology, no woman deserves to be (almost) beaten to death. Thank God for the bell hop for pulling Bishop Weeks off of her.

by Phil on August 23, 2007 - 7:57pm

Yep.  "Misconstrued" would be a good way to put it.

Well help us understand just what you meant Mr. Man.....

I agree with the writer above who says, who wants to buy a DVD of a wedding that is about to be a divorce. Who want to see them ayway. These people are not GOD, and the only reason they are on a pedastal is because people put them there. Christianity is about excepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repenting of our sins and living a God fearing, Holy and Chrisitian life before God. It's not about all this money and foolishness these people will have you to believe. Give me a break!!!! I am also, so tired of hearing people say don't judge them. The bible clearly tells us to be judges, but when we judge make sure it is done righteously. Judge righteopusly it says!! The bible says you will know them by their fruits. So at some time in our lives, we all better be making sure that we are lead by the Spirit of God and not some other Familiar spirit that's not of God. I think they both need to go somewhere and sit down.He is not innocent and neither is she. The only people that are innocent are the innocent people they ripoff for money. I heard a sermon of her myself where she talks about picking up a brick and how she was going to hit him with it, and he is just sitting there laughing as she tells it. The audience is also going wild with applauses while she is tellin it. She also talks about throwing a brick through the windows of one of his cars. He talked about them having many fights before this alleged one that was caught on the news.

by Phalyssia (not verified) on November 26, 2007 - 9:34am

Im sorry but i do not think that you read that correctly. The bible says, "Judge not, lest ye be judged". You aren't supposed to judge anyone if you yourself don't want to be judged back. Their is also a story with the people wanting to stone a woman for a sin that she has commited and Jesus says let the person who has commited no sins himself cast the first stone.......you don't have the right to judge someone else when you yourself are not perfect and since no one is perfect then no one should be judging anyone else

by Phil on November 26, 2007 - 9:37am

I know you mean well, but your reasoning is way off as it relates to scripture. Check out my earlier post on judging. I think it will be very helpful:

As part of the leadership team for my local church, I recently had to go to a woman, a new Christian and explain to her that living with a man is sin.

I was not judging her, I was not barring her from the church, but in love, I explained that she will never experience the fullness of God's blessings in her life as long as she choses to live a lifestyle that is not pleasing to Him.

That is what people who love each other do -- we help each other see the sin in each other's lives and make corrections so we can grow. That is NOT judging, that is loving. Trust me, it's easier to say nothing, not get involved.

Sadly, many (not all) of these people that run megachurches or ministries have no one that will do that for them. The leaders are too afraid to have people around them that say the truth in love. Most of the people in their lives are paid by them --one way or another --or related to them. So there is no voice of truth and correction in their lives.

If there is one thing I pray about for these leaders is that voice of honest correction in their lives. We all need that.

Mary,

Very well said.

The idea that Christians cannot "judge" is an adoption of the very non-Christian values of our general culture which has adopted the post-modernistic view that tolerance is the ultimate virtue.

God is the ultimate judge and it is not up to us to take His role by any means.

That doesn't mean we don't judge and discern between right and wrong, healthy and unhealthy all the time or that we shouldn't. Quite the opposite, we're called upon to do it. That is why we present Christ to the world as the answer and ourselves as the chief sinners in need of Him.

Organizations that quell dissent, set themselves up for failure. Opposite view points and a willingness to correct in love when needed, for the goal of restoration are sorely needed in many different contexts.

Cheryl:

Just think about it! I don't think that Juanita Bynum is being put on a pedestal. What I do think is that people are trying to put their faith into her and not into the holy one of them all, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. As a woman, I have met a lot of men and prayed to the Lord thinking that he was the one. I think that as a woman we have to understand that even though we have the Lord within our hearts that we are liable to make mistakes. How often do we get into a relationship and think that we have the relationship mentally under control. We don't! We try to tell ourselves that we are not going to go through the things we went through in our past, were not going to allow any man to mentally touch our mental realm. That is a lie. When our flesh is attached to anything it does not release it easy. How would you feel if you was single for over seven or eight years, you think you finally found the one, and then he come out of the hat as a devil.. We can not always think that we have chose the right man to stand by our side. Just think of Jesus, every disciple that he chose, deceived him.. Are we any different, are we any better, do we not think like our Savior Christ Jesus, At the end he received victory, Victory, is what we would have, we have to try to understand that we have a nature to not only think of the spirit side, but we can't help but to think of the human side. Christ was quite human, at war with his humanity, but strive to have succeeded with his whole divinity. She stills have feelings, I would of through a brick at his car windows also depending on the abuse he was giving me, he was lucky that she didn't throw a brick at him. Because we are Christians does not mean that we are punching bags, we have to know that we are not to be taken advantage of. Wouldn't you agree? Let's not be like the disciples and leave our sister in Christ, stick beside her, because we have to show the world that Christians are going to be ther for one another. For you are ordained to be my sister..................

This is all very scary. What has happen to the church and what will happen to the people of God while so called anointed clergy stomble over their own feet because of greed.

What has happen to the foundation Jesus spoken about, I wouls have to conclude that the gate of hell shall not prevail, and Janita Bynum is and excellent example

by godschild (not verified) on August 31, 2007 - 6:28am

See when the true saints of god start to realize that the church is not a building, but a body of believers in jesus, then these so called bishop, ministers, phophets will lose their deceptive mind control over god's people. The veil was torn now we are all priest of the most high god. Saints lower themselves and their anoiting and place people with titles on a high horse. The church that jesus built is made of living stones. people who are called out to be god's children. jesus said that there will be many false teachers. when people are on the tv sayings that you must hurry and send in money and that you have to do this and that to get god to bless you, something is wrong. god said that he will never leave me nor forsake me. The bible says be anixous for nothing but with prayer and thanksgivings let your request be made known unto god. key words unto god. you can go to god for yourself. saints wake up!!! the whole world is waiting on the manifestation of the sons of god. there is one mediator between god and man, his name is Jesus. he paid the price for all of us to go free and have access to god. Paul said that we should not be entangled with yokes of bondage. there are so many of god's precious people in religious bondage. the bible says that you shall know the truth, and the truth will set/make you free. when jesus told peter upon this rock I will build my church he did not go out and get some bricks and start to build some big building. god does not dwell in temples made with man's hands. in the old testament the synoguoes where the house of god, now jesus has made it that god house is his people. yes we go to a building to encourage one another, but that is not the true church. the bible says christ in YOU the hope of glory. when preachers are on tv saying sow a seed for this and that. Jesus said take no thought of what you shall eat or drink or wear.the birds don't sow, but your heavenly father feeds them, how much more are you that a bird(Matt. 6). put all your trust in the finished works of christ, he has paid the price of everything you will ever need. he shed his blood for your poverty and lack. the lord is my shepherd and i shall not want/lack. In romans it says that god gave his son freely won't he give you everything else freely. the bible also says that those that accept the free gift of righteousness shall reign in this life as kings. take off the blinders ask god to reveal his truth to you. walk with him. the holy spirit is the best teacher you can have. he will never lie or decieve you. he speaks only of the truth of god. saints please know that god loves you, take your authority over the devil and all of his false teachers. rise up and declare the works of the lord

true you can be misled.I don't think anybody give Jesus any money.

by J-QC (not verified) on September 6, 2007 - 1:33pm

Sena,

I really feel bad that you were taken advantage of by a pastor but do not let that defer your obedience to God. Tithing is an act of obedience and it is a form of trust to God. Pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you in all truth so that when you sow your seed it is in good ground. do not ever let anyone beat you over the head about giving. the Lord loves a cheerful giver and if you do not have it to give it's not like he is going to stop the flow of his blessing. he knows your heart! Shame on the Pastor and God will repay. But do not put god last as it relates to your tithe. He did not put you last when he place breath in your body each and every morning. Again...pray that for the Holy Spirit to lead you in ALL truth. not just giving but in every aspect of your life, let him be your guide. Just because something bad happens in someone's life who is in mainstream, does not negate the anointing or the calling, it just shows that we all have to try harder at representing God a little better.

Have a wonderful day!

That is a wonderful perspective and outlook, I wish more people reading and writing their comments had a more objective and positive attitude to this matter and other relative issues.. God keep and bless you....

by godschild (not verified) on September 6, 2007 - 9:52pm

Sena, I was moved by your comments and wanted to share some precious scriptures with you that changed my life and I pray that they will help you. Have you ever read Heb. 7 pay attention closely to verse 12. In 2cor. 9 verse 7 amplified says, LET EACH MAN GIVE AS HE AS MADE UP HIS OWN MIND AND PURPOSED IN HIS HEART. See what have you purpose in your heart to give. Is it 1%,3%, or 10%. See you determine as a new testament christian what your mind and heart purpose to give. In mark 12 verses 41-44 Jesus talked about a widow who put two mites in which was not even a full whole penny, but Jesus said she gave the most. Some preachers love to use this story but they don't tell you to read above that. In mark 12 verses 38-40 Jesus said beware of the scribes who devour widows houses and by covering it up they make long prayers. In other words he was telling them to look at how the scribes take advantage of the poor widows instead of giving to them, they take from them. In luke 18 verses 11- 14 there was a pharisee who boasted about how he fast twice a week and pay tithes of all he posess, but the tax collector(publican) humbled himself and asked for mercy. Jesus said the tax collector went away justified instead of the tithe paying pharisee. In 2 cor. 2 verse 17 amplified, Paul said that , WE ARE NOT LIKE MOST WHO MAKE A TRADE OUT OF PEDDLING THE WORD OF GOD. 2 PETER 2 VERSES 1-3 says that there will be many who follow false prophets AND THEY WILL MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU. To some christians the only difference to them about the old testament and the new testament is the blank page in between. They don't have a clue about the freedom God has provided for them through the blood of Jesus. In galatians 3 verse 11 it says that no man is justified by the law, but the just shall live by faith. In verse 13 it says Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law, being made a curse for you. All of your blessings will come to you because of what Jesus has done for you. Jesus was a giver and we should to, but we are not under some law, we should do our giving with a cheerful heart and mind that decides how much we give. BE FREE IN JESUS NAME, GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I.

by Hurt Alert (not verified) on September 8, 2007 - 10:13pm

Saint of God, please don't judge! The word of God says judge not or You will be judged. First and for most, the bible speaks of giving God(church home)one that is building the kingdom, standing in truth and righteousness, your first fruits(tithes). Man did not come up with that God did! Give wisely, not your rent, food money car payment. Second of all, we need to rally together as Christians and pray for the Weeks family. THEY ARE CLEARLY UNDER ATTACK FROM THE ENEMY, this family has preached phenomenally, sacrificed themselves to preach healing and strength to other marriages, and you dear to speak so poorly of God's children. Of course the devil wants to make them look like liars. BUT THE ARE ONLY HUMANS THAT MUST LIVE IN THE FLESH FIRST, to Bishop Weeks my pray for you today, I stand in the gap for you praying that your wife will forgive you for such a hurtful thing you have done, and how you hurt your ministry of protecting her, when you know how she has been hurt before. I don't know what happen to drive you to such anger, I am married and tend to be the aggressor in my marriage, so I understand anger, GET HELP. God has forgiven you, AND STILL LOVES YOU. Prophetess Weeks, I am sorry that you were hurt and embarrassed, I cry when you cry, knowing how you had to relive hurt, I love you and your ministry and will pray for your marriage. Be stronger than ever before, I met you before you became a world wide preacher and teacher, love you then and even more now. I pray your strength in the Lord.

Hurt Alert, You need to learn the difference betweeen what God said in the old testament and what he is now saying in the new testament. This will clear up your misunderstanding of what I have written. You can not pour old wine into new skin. It's either law or grace. I'll take GRACE for me. What I can not do on my own Christ has done it for me. God Bless You.

Brother Hurt, I just wanted to ask you to dig deeper concerning First Fruits and Tithes.

They are not the same. I'm sorry I'm not in a position to give you chapter and verse right now as I have to get off the computer right now. But Please, search this out.

They are different. First Fruits an offering of the first harvest of a thing....new job per say. and the first of what you get from your job every year. First Fruits came from the first of the yearly harvest.

Tithe is the 10th of anything and everything you get. So please search this out.

God bless. GaPeach7165

I believe that the spirit of Jezebel is behind it all. It is a major end-time principality that we must all confront at sometime or another. Read T. Pugh's "A STep Into Deliverance" which is a riveting account of one pastor's battle with this spirit. Both Weeks and Bynum fell into a horrible snare of earthly fame, self-aggrandizement, pride, lust, "cameraitis" and greed. None of this makes them false, merely flawed like you and me.

Pray is indeed the call. What happens to the head will trickle down to the body. Just recently a dear sister with a tremendous ministry making candy apples, chocolates, carmel popcorn was stabbed to death by her husband in front of 4 of their 5 children. Jezebel is behind domestic abuse, male belittling, abortion, lust, pron, gang violence, church splits, rebellion and female dominance. We must learn all we can, watch as well as pray.

by nadean (not verified) on January 10, 2008 - 6:42pm

I do agree with the points you 've made, these spirits, behaviors, and mindsets are a mere manifestations of what we live in America, and in the very daily living of our lives..And every single person in this country, and on the planet has to deal with some issue of some sort in some element of degree,I don't care what it is.so what I don't understand about this is,"how can so many people spend so much time being idle, and telling others what ot be and how to live with the matters that i know that every person has to work out htheir own salvation with fear and trembling. In other words, as I have said, everyone has a cross to bear and issues to deal with and work out, which lead me to the Word od God as the first and final authority on examinig ourselves and allowing Christ light to shine through us inspite of our faults because we (all) have them, not even maybe one or two, but maybe many...christ Jesus has the magnifying glass on us all< if we say we have no sin, the bible speaks and says that we lie, because (all) have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God..

There is a lot of truth to what you are saying, but there is also a great deal of misinformation. You should be careful about putting your mouth on men and womwn of God. True there are alot of fakes out there, but is it really up to you to judge? That is between them and God. WE elevate tele-evangelists to gods and idols. That is why we are supposed to know the word for ourself. As for your tithes, God does not need our money. However, everytime you step into a church and can see, feel the air/heart, go to the bathroom etc etc, all that costs money. Utilities are not free!. You are supposed to pay your tithes 10% of the top, not leftovers. You might as well keep your leftovers because they will not be blessed. God gave the best gift ever, His son and you mean to tell me you have that attitude! Go back and read the history of David. He was jacked up and committed all knids of misdeeds, but yet he was the apple of Gods eye!!!!!What you are doing also is using scriptures to fit your own personal agenda. People in glass houses should not throw stones. Where is your mercy? I suggest you get off the throne and back on the cross and let the true King reign in His Kingdom. In due season, all that are perpretrating wil be exposed. The best thing you can do is pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ when they fall short. Be blessed.

by Vee (not verified) on October 1, 2007 - 6:00pm

I do agree with you my Sister,God does not need our money, tithes is 1/10 of our income and that biblical facts, that we should or must pay. We receive our blessings from our offering. That should be our best,God gave us his best gift,His only begotten Son Jesus,so why cant we give our best.If the pastors and bishops do not spend this money properly its between them and God.Christians need to stop living off what pastors said and go read and spend time in the scriptures for themselves. When you spend time reading your Bible your spritual eyes and ears opens and you will be able to know where to sow your seed. God bless!!!!!

by godschild (not verified) on October 4, 2007 - 5:18am

Jocie, Iam blessed because of what Jesus has done for me. If every blessings you get comes from you doing something, then what was the purpose of his death? Sometimes it is hard for us as christians to realize that there is a difference between the old covenant and the new covenant. The new covenant was a blood covenant between Jesus and God. Jesus fullfilled the old covenant requirements for us so that we can go free and be made pure, holy, and in right standing with the Father. I am a giver, but I am not in bondage. Christ has made me free and the holy spirit is my guide. The church is not a building. The church is made of people who are called out to be God's children. The bible says it is made of livingstones. Key word living. You can not according to Galatians have law and grace at the same time. You can not pour old wine into new skin. Grace is what was done for you through the cross. Law is something you do to get God to bless you. We try to correct other people with what we were taught, but if we would follow the new testatment teachings of our savior, we would be free. I pray that christians will take the grace that was provided for them because of the cross and walk in the glorious light of freedom from legalistic works.

this is not what god wants us to do as people of god do you know thjat the secular world are reading these comments we have to be careful with our words see we need to understand that the devil can use anyone even in this situation the influence of the enemy is used through everyones comments when everyone is saying ooh i pray for her yeah has god put it on the hearts of beleivers and interceeders to pray for her and her husband just because that happend it doses not mean that he was not ordained to be her boas see sometimes were not deliverd from generational curses and we hve to really submitt to god in the areas that we struggle some have issuses in the body of christ that we are not deliverd from and it seens as though he is dealing with a spirit of anger and frustration so pray for them for real and not fait

by godschild (not verified) on September 14, 2007 - 4:29am

Latasha,

The devil does not like truth. The bible say he is the father of lies. So when I person rather christians or non christian speaks the truth the devil has nothing to do with truth. I am not one to sugar coat anything. Wrong is wrong. If they did not have religious titles in front of their names and were common people you hear about in the news with no fame and glory behind them, what would you say. A person that commits child molestation we would call them a child molester. But in the christian world we call them priest and give them another parish in a different city. A person who commits brutality against his wife, we would call them an abusive husband. Truth is truth even when it is ugly. We also need to realize that it is not about us as christians trying to portray a perfect no fault image, but it is about Jesus and the Gospel. These ministers need to realize that and get back to preaching the gospel because it is not about their ministries and their annointing. Pride comes before the fall.

Preach on! Preach On! Yes, I have said some of the same things you have said while talking to my daughter about it. I have quoted some of the same scriputres that you have used. Open up your eyes people!!! The Kingdom of God is Free!!!! He don't need our money to do what he needs to do. They say that there is this "prosperity type of preaching" going on in the world today. Kind of like the lottery. You give a$100.00 dollars and God will bless you with a million dollars or a house or a fancy car etc. I agree with writers in other posts where people stated that Thomas Weeks is selling copies of their wedding for a discounted price, who wants to buy a DVD of a wedding that is about to be a divorce. Who want to see them ayway. These people are not GOD, and the only reason they are on a pedastal is because people put them there. Christianity is about excepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repenting of our sins and living a God fearing, Holy and Christ-like life before God. The audience is also going wild with applauses while she is telling it. She also talks about throwing a brick through the windows of one of his cars. He talked about them having many fights before this alleged one that was caught on the news. There are also sermons on YOUTube where Thomas Weeks is telling people that the bible says that is is alright for true saints of God to cuss while in the bedroom with one's spouse as well as saying it's okay to use dirty filthy words in the bedroom while you are making love to your spouse. He based it on the scripture where it says Marriage is honourable and the bed undefiled. He said since God said the bed is undefiled that means you can have all kind of sexual acts in the bed, whatever wild and outrageous act you like to perform with your spouse and cuss and use all sorts of filthy language with your spouse just as long as you leave it in the bedroom and don't say it or use it out in public where others can hear or see it.Now that is as about as sick as you can get. No wonder God exposed both of them. People keep hollering they are a true man and woman of God pary for them. Please give me a break people. That man can twist scriptures and make them say whatever he wants them to say and so does she. And they both have people jumping up and down applauding for them! God is tired of both of them and is expsoing them for who they really are. Please people stay in your bible and know God for yourself. He is not the author of cofusion. This mess they are doing is plain old sin and confusion. You better Judge them righteously!!! The blood is on their hands!!!

by godschild (not verified) on October 20, 2007 - 5:46am

Sister Cheryl - I see that you and I understand the purpose of the cross and being christians. I hope and pray that others will take the blinders off and embrace the truth. Sometimes christians turn away from the truth because it is not wrapped in a nice sounding package, but Jesus said you know the truth and the truth will make/set you free. Sometimes truth comes in an ugly package and it sounds like we are being negative. However, I believe that ugly truth has to be exposed in order for real truth to prevail, even if it exposes some of our christian brothers and sisters idols. When you walk in a dark room it will stay dark until you turn the light on. But when the light comes on all of the darkness is expelled. I will be light in darkness, a pleaser of God and not man. They may think that I am negative but God's knows my heart. I just don't like to see my christian family and God's people being decieved. It really hurts me to see how some of our saints in the Lord will follow anybody and defend them in their wrong doing. I pray that as a body of believers we will be set free. Jesus loves you and so do I. Peace!!!!

We must all continue to pray for all of our leaders. Yes, they are in a spotlight and many are watching and depending on them to carry themselves as such, however if you take the titles off, they are human just like one of us, so let us pray for them and know that all things work together for the good of them that love God and is called according to his purpose. Now with Bishop Week, he needs some deliverance because somewhere he has open a door and have allowed the enemy to come in and he has not gotten that part on his life under control, and the only way to do that is to allow God to purge and heal that part of him in order to move foward in his life. Saints of God this is a time in our life that we must pray without ceasing.

My prayers are with both of them. Pastor Byum and her husband are both anoited speakers/Teacher of the word. But they are both human beings who are capable of making mistakes. Follow jesus not man, I think that is what she has always taught!!!!

Mr.Weeks has no excuse at all for putting his hands on his partner,a little woman at that. Then stomping and kicking her , just like a big sissy coward.

Now whats going on with Paula White ? What BIBLICAL grounds do they have for getting divorced, Did one of them committ ADULTERY or FORNICATION ?

These people are not christians at all, they are sinners in need of REAL SALVATION.

by Josephine Horace-Jackson (not verified) on August 28, 2007 - 2:23pm

Mr. Hudson, why does it matter why they are divorcing and why does it only have to be under those two circumstances? The tragic fact of the matter is that they are! No one knows the amount of stress and the toll that it takes on famous people. We do not walk in their shoes. Why are you so quick to judge them. What kind of christian are you? What is REAL SALVATION? Obviously you do not have it, otherwise you would not be making such off the wall statements!!! Oh my bad, I forgot about your right to freedom of speech. Well just keep on speaking and judging folk and get to the day of judgement and end up loooking like a mullet with the rest. I am going to pray for you.

by Charlie Wilkins (not verified) on August 31, 2007 - 9:49am

We are not judges, but the bible tell us that we must hold each other to Christian accoutability. Paul even says that if our brothers and sisters do not live within the commands of Christ, we should not even eat with them. The Bible also gave specific instructions on marraige and devorce.

How is it that we can preach "God can do anything but fail", "all things are possible through Jesus Christ", and "He will never leave me or forsake me", and then say"Except my marraige". To keep our family together is too much for God. I don't know of any Christian that has not had problems in thier marraige, but the one I know stood on the word of God, fasted, prayed, and work it out and gave God the glory. How can two "Christians' give God glory through devorce.

by Yonette (not verified) on September 7, 2007 - 2:46pm

Josephine have you read your bible lately? Please read Matt 5:31-32, Luke 16:18, 1Corth 7:10-16 , 1 Corth 7:39-40 and it will tell you yes it is only if a partner has comitted adultrey or fornication then he/she can be divorced not the stress that any "famous" people go through and if the partner who commit the act is willing to change and reconcile they should be given a chance (Jer 3:1) but it is because of the hardness of the heart why you cannot forgive and forget. And talking about famous, God does not want you to be famous, He wants us to preach the gospel and win souls for the Kingdom of God, when Jesus was on earth, even the deciples never take the glory for what they were doing, as soon as they do what God told them to do they left the scene, but now it is all about who could write the best book and who could make the most money. All I can say is some are in it for the money, some are in it to be famous as you said and thank God there are some in it because of the burden for lost souls. Let me tell you this, the spirit of Jezebel have not killed all the prophets, God still has His remants out there, those who are not seen on TBN or other publicity arenas and He shows them what is happening in the spiritual realm (if you know what that is), so this is no surprise to me, I saw it coming & there is more to come. God will expose them, things you dont even know will come out and you will be shock but I will not cause i saw it. I pray for the MERCY of God on His people.

by Jocie (not verified) on September 21, 2007 - 4:44pm

Yonette, please take another look at what I was saying. You are jumping the gun!!!!!Do we really know why they are divorcing?? Let me know who was there shining the light in their marriage! Being in the public eye takes its toll, just look at all the self-righteous comments made. Is anyone in any position to judge? God does not need our help, He will expose imposters in His timing. When He does, we should pray for their restoration. In the meantime, we should all be lifting them up in prayer. Whether it was adultery or not, thats between them and God. This is tragic is the point I was trying to make!!!!! I do not know about you, but I have been extremely blessed by all their ministries. There is an attack on kingdom marriages by satan, just check out stats if you do not believe me. Sorry you misinterpreted what I wrote. Be blessed.

by Vee (not verified) on October 1, 2007 - 6:09pm

Mr. Hudson, can you not see what the enemy is trying to do,he is after marriages, those that are public figures and those that are representing the Church. When regular people get into fights and divorce its not seen or heard about. So the devil decided let me try and attack the church. Now is the time we should start fasting and praying for these Ministers. We need to be compassionate, just like Jesus was when he came to earth. Please pray!

by Lisa (not verified) on August 27, 2007 - 8:29am

People of God. I urge you to Shhhhh. Lest the judgement of God come upon you. There by the Grace of God go I. When you don't know what to do, you just stand and (be quite: emphasis added) God will work this out (for Bynum-Weeks and the Whites) and those who really serve Him will not be put to shame, but I believe that some VERY GOD is about to happen.

Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess irregardless of the situation that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If you're the one talking I hope when judgment day comes you will stand with everyone you judged and given an account as to why you did not pray.

Now that's scary! Your day will come.

We are not under the wrath of God in this present dispensation. Why do we turn a blind eye to the truth about people. There was a king in the bible who did not want to address his own sons wicked behavior, and it costed him. Jesus came through many towns and called out the so called religious leaders. They were hyprocrites and false teachers. And yes there are some out here today. If you see a that the clouds are blue what do you call them-pink!!!! Please stop acting like these so called ministers are closer to god that all of his other children. That is a lie and you are being decieved. This is exactly how people in the church become deaf earred to the holy spirit. all they do is follow men who claim to have a direct source to god and you have to go through them to reach god. WRONG!!! the veil is torn and you can go to god for yourself. The bible says there is only one mediator between God and man. And his name is JESUS. There are so many blind christians follow after these so called God fearing ministers. LOVE MAN< BUT TRUST GOD.

The next mega church mess is @ World harvest in columbus ohio with that political preacher Parsley, you do not get a sermom anymore without him talking about politics, that ministry down fall will be discrimination againts african american employees and members of his congregation. no wonder why he is loosing all his members to smaller churches around the area, from a count of 12,000 members it is down to just about 1800 attending on sudays both survises combined. MEGA MESSSS!

The ministry underpaid its workers do not give increases, if you misses your tithe ,but give to those who kisses up yo him as we say in the south being his lacky.

What is your foundation for this accusation? Are you a disgruntled former congregationist? If you have nothing good to say, then keep your mouth closed!!!! Pray for him and if he is in error, the Lord will expose him. Keep in mind that when you point fingers at others, three are pointing back towards you. That is the problelml with the church today, if the sermons are not sugar coated then every ones gets mad. Do you not realize that as men and women of God, they are required to tell the truth and inform their flock to stand up for rightousness? If they fail to do so, blood will be on their hands for all the lost souls. Go right ahead and find you a church where sin is not preached and go on to hell with the rest of them. God Bless and have mercy on you in your ignorance

I encourage all the saints of God to lift Prophetess and Bishop up in prayer. We need to keep our mouth off of the man of God and let the law and the Lord handle it. I do not in any way condone what he did, but let us look past the person and to the real culprit-our advesary. Is it not too convienent that just as she is about to be launched to another level that this attack occurs? I am a former battered woman and I can feel her pain in a sense. I just pray that she will be allowed to lower her celebrity status and mourn in private as a normal person. Just as we followed her in the good times, we need to continue to uplift and encourage her now. As for the media, they are always looking for something to say about the church. Whatever her style is, it is an effective approach for millions. I do believe that the Word says, " that when we find a brother overtaken with a fault, we need to lift him up"! So instead of gossiping about the matter, pray for them. Also Prophetess is way out there as far as fame is concerned and it takes a REAL MAN to stand behind his woman as she has the spotlight all to herself. Be careful people about what you say, later on you will have to give an account for all empty words spoken. Jocie

THE BIBLE SAYS SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE. IT DOES NOT SAY COVER IT UP AND ACT LIKE IT NEVER HAPPEN. YES YOU WILL NEED TO GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF THE WORDS WE SPEAK, BUT IF IT'S THE TRUTH, THEN LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD. I LOVE THEM BOTH BUT I DON'T AGREE WITH THE WAY THEY MISLEAD GOD'S PEOPLE. AND YES I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEM BOTH. I HAVE BEEN IN WHAT WE CALL "CHURCH" SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL OR SHOULD I SAY ORGANIZED RELIGION. AND I HAVE SEEN SO MUCH DECEPTION AND HURT PEOPLE BECAUSE OF WHAT THE LEADERS HAVE DONE. I USE TO BE JUST LIKE YOU SCARED TO SPEAK THE TRUTH AND EVERY TIME I TURNED A BLIND EYE I WAS LEAD INTO DECEPTION. SISTER, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT TRUTH SOME TIMES IS UNCOMFORTABLE. WHEN GOD SHOWS ME MYSELF IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT I AM GLAD BECAUSE GOD CORRECT THOSE THAT HE LOVES. IF SOMEONE COMES TO ME AND THEY SEE SOMETHING IN ME THAT IS NOT RIGHT, I DON'T SAY TO THEM DON'T PUT YOUR MOUTH ON ME BECAUSE I AM A MINISTER. I HUMBLE MYSELF AND PRAY, SEEK THE LORD FOR CHANGE. THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS TO SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE. WHEN YOU SEE YOUR CHILDREN DOING WRONG, WHAT DO YOU SAY TO THEM. I HOPE YOU CORRECT THEM IN LOVE AND SHOW THEM THEIR MISTAKES SO THAT THEY CAN GROW UP KNOWING RIGHT AND WRONG. REMEMBER THIS ONE THING FORGIVENESS I MUST GIVE BECAUSE JESUS FORGAVE ME, BUT TRUST IS EARNED BY A PERSON'S CHARACTER, INTEGRITY, AND TRACK RECORD. WHEN SOMETHING IS POINTED OUT TO US AS CHRISTIANS WE SHOULD BE LIKE DAVID AND HUMBLE OURSELVES AND REPENT. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I.

I have been raised in the church all my life, but have just recently came back "in". I find it a disgrace to see all of the negative write ups of one of God's anointed ones. We can all have an opinion, but at the end of the day it is still judging. Be careful. God is not through. He is walking across this land. Look at all the signs. They are ever present. Get your OWN house in order. To me, it sounds as though you are still dealing with some past hurts. I urge you to go to God. Seek Him with all your heart.

by Minister T (not verified) on August 29, 2007 - 7:24am

Thomas Weeks, he does not deserve to be called a Bishop, is a coward. And anyone that tries to excuse his action and sweep it under a rug is a FOOL! How would you feel if someone stomped on you and tried to strangle you! Would you tell others,"Just pray for the man that tried to kill me"? OH PLEASE! Yes he need deliverance-his butt need to be delivered to a jail cell with the key thrown away! It gets me when I read statements that say not to judge. The truth is the truth. If you see a tree with green leaves then the tree has green leaves. If you see a man that is a woman beater then he is a woman beater. He is a fool and anyone that continues to support him is a fool also. It is just a shame how we make excuses for religious leaders. He was wrong and now he has to pay the price. No woman should stay with a man that abuses her, regardless of what religion that they profess. And all of you that say that they should stay together-ask yourself this question-how would you like to sleep with a man not knowing when the next time he will snap. If you would stay, then you need a mental evaluation. There is not that much love in the world to stay with someone that will beat the crap out of you.

by Jocie (not verified) on September 21, 2007 - 4:56pm

Minister T, Are you a man of the cloth? We are supposed to pray for him and not judge. Should he be held accountable? Absolutely!!! As a former battered woman, I know what it is like first hand. Why do we stay? It varies as do the women themselves. I stayed until I was able to get both of my sons out of the house at the same time and when I was able to go somewhere he could not find me. Until one has walked in those shoes, please be silent. Where is your mercy? Remember you just might need it one day? God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap. I agree on some points, but I pray you feel me. Be careful what you speak into the universe.

Lets be honest about this entire fiasco of great ministers in the body of Christ who marriages are on the rocks- Junita Bynum, Paula White and Maria Gardner and many others, etc. First of all marriage is for mature people. How can they stand before Gods people even though they are gifted to speak and conference other people about success and prosperity and they cant stay married? This lets us know having millions of dollars is not everything they love talking about prosperity. God does not want every new testament believer to be rich all through the new testament God condemns the rich. Many are trying to approach their marriage failures from the standpoint of being sympathetic towards them why should I have sympathy and feel sorry for them when God is not feeling sorry for them. Before they got into the marriage they knew what theyre getting into they are (both parties) are missing God somewhere to have all that word on the inside of them and they cant stay married. I know some people will try to say the devil got in their marriage no way because you got in your flesh you was the devil. The devil didnt get in nothing your flesh got the best of you. Most of Paula Whites teaching on success is very self-centered and there are successful people that are not even apart of the body of Christ what they need to be teaching people is how to live Holy. But for her to teach people how to live its got to be already in her. Many of our televangelist need to be focused on Gods work and not being moved by carnal things. Its kind of hard to be an example and teach others theyve got to see what your teaching and preaching work in your own life. Personally, the bible says for the older women to teach the younger women - while Juanita Bynum, Maria Gardner and Paula White or teaching others they need someone teaching them. Eph. 5:21 talks about submission women and men need more teaching about this. Thank You!!!

I pray for our Shepherds. After reading a few of Mrs. Bynum-Weeks books, she is very confrontational (which is STILL NO EXCUSE for her to be hit upon) and we don't know what nor why Bishop Weeks did what he did - just pray it NEVER happens again. Even though the lord may have put us together, it is up to us to keep GOD in it and holy. Be Bless.

by J-QC (not verified) on August 31, 2007 - 1:24pm

I normally would not post a comment on sites at all, however after reading the many comments submitted about the Weeks and Whites, I felt compelled to respond. The bible says many things, and many of the comments that used biblical references were used to support a particular point of view. The fact of the matter is we are living in the last days... Does it truly surprise you or catch you of guard the things that are happening. One thing I found to be true, everybody has a lot to say about everything but my question is who is taking the time to pray? We judge and criticize like nobody's business! When you have an opportunity read about King Saul and King David...you will find that King Saul lived a good life before God with the exception of disobeying God once. It was when God told Saul to destroy all of the Amalekites. He destroyed everything that belonged to the Amalekites except the King of the Amalelites and the best of the spoil, but God's instructions were to destroy everything! So God sent Samuel the prophet to question Saul about this and he claimed he did everything God told him to do but Samuel said what is this bleeding of the sheep I hear in the barn! Therefore God rejected Saul as king of Israel. Now on the other hand David lived a nasty mess...he slept around and even arranged for Uriah the Hitite to be killed so that he can have his wife BathSheba! What was the difference between tthe two? It was the condition of the heart... David was always in a place of needing God. Not judging and condemning...but constantly saying Lord have mercy upon me according to thy loving kindness. We are not a merciful people. We lash out at one another and send folk to hell at the drop of a dime. God is a God of mercy, love and compassion and Jesus teaches...before you can remove the spec out of someone elses eye, remove the beam from your own eye and then help some one else! In other words..we all need work. Just as he is a God of mercy, so is he of vengeance and wrath. Work on yourselves and pray for the body of Christ. Pray for those who have been anointed to lead. The devil is busy because his time is short...he is the real enemy. not the Whites and the Weeks, they just got caught up in the crossfire with their issues being aired because of popularity..but still human beings who have issues. The other important thing for us to know...be careful of who you expose and who you put your mouth on! The bible says to touch not mine anointed. Saul tried to kill David and David had the opportunity to kill Saul, but David understood that Saul was anointed by God and spared his life! Be careful, be wise, and be compasionate. Sorry this was so long...have a great day.

More than anything I think that we should all be forever mindful that ministers are people subject to tests trials and tribulations. We as people get so caught up in glitz, glamour, fairy tales, mega sermons and mega churches. We place these tele-evangelists on pedastals in which they become mini gods, people who can not sin or do any wrong. Then we have blogs and chat rooms that criticize and pass judgement. Would we be so quick to say these things if it was our dirty laundry being aired on television news reports and in national newspapers? God is a God of compassion, mercy, grace, and unconditional love. There were many leaders in the Bible who "fell" and were still able to be used by God and fufill their destiny. Moses was a muderer (did we forget), Abraham lied about Sarah being his wife (did we forget) David was an adulterer and a murderer (did he not sleep with Uriah's wife and then put him on the front lines to be murdered, did we forget) Jacob tricked Esau out of his blessing (did we forget). Paul was at first Saul a persecuter of Christians (did we forget). Hosea married a prostitute named Gomer (did we forget). God has a way of making the ugliest situations work for the good. Just because the world is out of control doesn't mean God is. Pray and consider what would Jesus do before speaking ill against these "mega ministers and the mega ministries" Blessings and cursings can not come from the same mouth. Pray before you speak, if your words don't edify God or give Him glory, don't speak them.

it is judging...what do you call it? most of the people on hear that are talking negative and very judgmental...you are all hurt by the church and in need of God's healing. The bible says woe to the Pastors that lead my sheep astray...but it also says I will give you Pastors...Therefore they are not all bad. Then what if the light was flipped on in your closet for the whole world to see and judge you...how would you feel?

TITUS 1:11 WHOSE MOUTH MUST BE STOPPED WHO SUBVERT WHOLE HOUSEHOLD TEACH THINGS THEY OUGHT NOT, FOR THE SAKE OF DISHONEST GAIN. JERIMAH 5:30 AN ASTONISHING AND HORRIBLE THING HAS BEEN COMMITTED IN THE LAND THE PROHETS PROPHESY FALSELY AND THE PRIEST RULE BY THEIR OWN POWER. if all pastors are not fake and phony and money hungrey will you please leave their name so that i could visit are maybe join then i wouldn't have to pay for the pastor anniversary, building funds, church anniversary women ministry funds etc ;I DON'T MIND PAYING TITHES THAT IS IF I COULD AFFORD IT AND WHEN I DO PAY TITHES IT'S FOR THE POOR ARE FOR THE WIDOW ARE MAYBE FOR A PASTOR THAT'S TRYING TO SAVE SOULS. so if you know a church that's not asking for the above funds please leave name, number and address.

I was also shocked when I heard the news of Mrs Bynum horrible incident with her husband. My first thought was to Judge, make a statement on what I thought was right. But God is the judge, its really is none of our business what has happen with them. But because they are people of status to many we of little knowlege of the bible and the teaching of God from Jesus want to judge and comment. Its ok to make statments of concern. But dont make comments of what you think should happen to someone else. Sure I am disappointed in Mr Weeks for his behavior, that was surely not cause for. And my heart goes out to Mrs Bynum Weeks for what she has had to endure. But You both have my pray as to what God has instore for your further. Sincerly Ms Alexander.

I really feel if they were having problems with in their marriage long before all of this came out. Now it's national news so so sad. The true will set you free I feel there is more to the story. Why did she not leave when he push her the first time? I feel she brought this on herself, Why because she knew he had a temper. I have watch TBN, and I never heard them mention each other names, nor did I ever see them out together. There are signs ,but no one said anything. Women love from the heart and when there is a problem we want to fix it ourselves wrong answer. We choose to ignore what's obvious. I hope this is a lesson learned. best of luck to both of them. REMEMBER WHEN WOMEN ARE ABUSED THEY DON'T PROFIT FROM THIS FINANCIAL ,BUT MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY.

These several events in the Body shows that leaders have faults like the rest of us and maybe something MORE important. Perhaps we look too much at the PEOPLE and not the TEACHING?? We seem shocked that these thing could possibly happen to these people. Were we really praying for the leadership, asking God to guide them in their lives and teaching or did we PRESUME that they had it together? If you agree with their messages or not, maybe this is a WARNING TO US in these end times to be careful in not only what we hear, but in how we hear it and to study to show OURSELVES approved a workman not to be ashamed. Because there is teaching coming that will nearly fool the very elect......will we recognize it??

that why juanita and paula is suppose tell their husbands what they feel god is saying to them and let their husbands go befre the people both of those men are ministers it is not good for women to have so much authority over men it was a reason why women were suppose to be quiet in the old testsment and learn from their husbands women are very emotional and the holy spirit is NOT! WOMEN QUICKLY lose sight of the plan and puppose of god.a WOMEN IS TO BIRTH A MAN IN HIS PLACE WITH PRAYER.the man is the head and first and god will never change his mind about that.

Bynum/Weeks Incident -- I wonder how we would react had we lived in the time when David raped Bathseba and killed her husband. Or when Peter cursed. Or when Martin Luther King committed adultery, the list goes on and on. Many of the saints of years ago that we hold dear had many of the same faults that ministers and church leaders suffer today. Yes, the church today, has become so self-righteous that it refuses to acknowledge that church leaders have a human nature that is frail. Regardless of how large their platform, income and reach is. There is a new generation of pharisees in the 21st century that is quick to call someone a false prophet -- who have created a moral standard that they cannot reach themselves. There is no excuse for Bishop Weeks doing what he did and no Juanita didn't deserve it -- but neither can we say it's because of their fame and popularity -- that's ridiculous. They are human like everyone else. If every church leader's life was exposed in full - we wouldn't follow any of them. We all fall short of the glory God. Let's get real church.

Meditate the word day and night that you may observe to do all that is written here. Joshua 1:8

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways... then I will heal their land. 2Chronicles 7:14

You are the light of the world...let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

Aren't those words beautiful? Or are you somehow repelled by my scriptural quotes? While I think this avenue for dialogue is so important to the self-examination necessary to further the kingdom, I think that one of the greatest hindrances we pose to the cause of Christ is that we spend too much time squabbling over other's human frailties and insisting that our opinion is the right one and everyone else's is not. In our vociferous rants against one another, we show clearly that we are spending little if any time in God's word. It is the word of God that is to be the judge here in the earth. It was given to us for instruction and reproof. If we leave the integrity of God's word, then we are all in as bad a state as unbelievers, having our own standards for right and wrong. God alone is the final judge of all deeds done in the body when we stand before him in eternity. But he definitely calls us to be discerning so that we won't be led astray by false doctrine or other distractions of men. It would do all of us well to read closely and often the messages to the seven churches in Revelation chapters 2-3. Let us decide that we will decrease that he may increase. Our strength to endure is in God's word and in our ability to walk together in the unity of the faith even in difficult times. Come, let us reason together with the word of God hidden in our hearts.

What would Jesus do?..He came that we could be reconciled to the Father..He came to be the sacrifice for our sin and there is no way we can repay Him..All He ask of us is to believe and to trust Him completely with our lives..This comes through repentance..giving the Lord complete control of our lives..I believe the problem is that people sit under teachings and never search the scriptures for themselves..People sit under selfish teaching and do not recognize it..I pray that people who sit under these theachings will go to a local church where they can be encouraged and discipled..

What would Jesus do? He ask the Father and everything He asked of the Father is what money could never buy..Salvation came with a high price..a price we cannot repay but to give our lives to the Lord..To know Him through His word and to worship Him in Spirit and in truth..To pray and seek His face that we will stand in the evil day..What Jesus did is free us from sin and the promise of eternal life..That is what Jesus did and He rose again to prove all He said is true..It has nothing to do with prosperity and everything to do with salvation..and what Jesus wants us to do is to go and tell this dying world there is hope through Jesus it is a command that we go and tell the gospel to all that will hear..

Can we understand one thing? writers and reads please understand that somethings happen to people just because they are Christians! Are lives are just like those who are not saved by grace, we just know a better way to live through the Word of God. Perfect we are not, Perfect He is. Divorce is no stranger to the Church, Charles Stanley and so many others, no that doesnt make it right but it is a fact. Amy Grant and so many others as well. Stop trying to make like Pentacostal saints are the only ones faced with issues. Face it, the Body of Christ has clots and pains and issues of blood. Our job is to press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. Peace out. I am sure if you knew Peter whom Jesus called into the ministry a waste, Oh let's not forget Paul the killer of christians, Moses you know, Joshua, what was he doing at the house of Rehab the what? Jeremiah he was a cry baby! should I keep going.

Godschild,You are on point. Amen and Amen. Grace and law do not mix and have never mixed. So many quote from OT scriptures and Jesus' earthly ministry. In Romans Paul writes by inspiration of the Holy Spirit that Jesus was a minister unto the "circumcision" meaning Jews. When Jesus walked the earth,His ministry was primarily to Jews not Gentiles. He subjected Himself to the Law to fulfill it which He did perfectly. And because He did we are no longer under Law. Paul writes that the Law is for the unrighteous. We are made righteous by believing the Gospel which is I Corinthians 15:1-5. We are called to discern. By the Holy Spirit living in us, we have the resource to look at situation and discern the Spirit attached. I saw Juanita on TBN's praise a thon one year and was so turned off I found it hard to watch anything she was associated with. We do not judge whose saved or not but we do use discernment in who we follow. Paul told his members to follow him as he followed Christ. Thats not what many so called leaders say today. Its follow them, place your faith in their ability to get to God as if you cannot. If you read closely you will find the "tithe" was never money. Firstfruits were not money. The Jews tithed off their crops to the priests who had no other job other than to be the go b/t for the Jews to God. Firstfruits were the best of their agricultural harvests. Thats why it says tithes and offerings. And if you read all of Malachi, the warning was that their system of tithing, animal sacrifice, priesthood was dysfunctional. Malachi says that God would open the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing they would be unable to receive. What greater blessing is there than Jesus Christ? Knowing you are righteous because of Him? That you no longer have kill animals, bring grain offerings or be condemned all the days of your life! You know you are His and He is yours. We are more than conquerors because Jesus did the conquering!!! The Jews made a promise to God via Moses that they as an entire nation would do all that God commanded and in return they would reap earthly blessings. Well in Malachi, God lets them know they failed miserably. Yet the Body of Christ who is under the wonderful gift of God's grace wants to revert back that? Juanita,Creflo,Fred Price,Paula all try to mix grace with law. History shows that those who do not preach the Gospel of Grace as Paul writes in Galatians, will fail miserably in their Christian walk. If Christ Crucified/Resurrected is not what your faith is in you will fail. I do not believe that God puts your business on blast unless you have ignored the conviction of His Holy Spirit to a point where He has no other avenue..Look at Jimmy Swaggart,Jim Bakker and now Paula and Juanita. When you preach law and not grace your failure is inevitable. The law was perfect but because Adam fell we are not. We had no hope until Jesus gave His life to have it resurrected. Our hope is not houses, cars, and a bag of cash. All of that is temporal. Our hope is that the Holy Spirit in us by God's grace will lead others to His truth and to eternal life w/God Almighty. There are Christians who dont know Grace and have never experienced its peace. They continue to try and live by a set of rules no man can keep without Christ Jesus. Juanita's physical appearance even shows that something is missing. The boldness isnt there any longer. I dont believe she's told the entire truth about her situation and until she does this cloud of doubt will hang over her head. All the sermons on physical riches she will remember. Was it worth it? Paul said he didnt take monies for his own personal well being because if there were the slightest possibility that one would turn away from eternal salvation thinking he was in it for the money, he could not bear it(Corinthians)..When is the last time you've heard that preached? If we believe the gospel and receive that precious gift of Grace, guess what? It leads us to give, where to give, how much to give. Grace is first. Has to be first or else its law. Law only brought condemnation. Just another note on tithing. People say that Abram tithed to Melchisedek so its not a part of the law. Read Hebrews. It states Jews tithed as a part of the law system and how this covenant we have is better. Abram didnt tithe off his income. He tithed to Melchisedek from spoils of war. Jacob didnt give his tithe until God did what he wanted. You give by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Not because someone shouts at you to do so, or promises you a bunch of stuff that will rust and decay. I notice how some teachers brag about being debt free yet every week beat u over the head to keep the show on the air? Please. If you can buy a helicopter, a mansion and every type of automobile on the planet, can you not keep your ministry on tv? If you teach the truth people will come and give wholeheartedly. God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory, not according to ours. Paul says if the gospel of grace is not preached and preached correctly let that person be anathema. Eternally separated from God. Thats powerful! Romans says the world will be judged by Paul's Gospel which is Christ crucified and nothing else. As for Deborah in the OT, yes she was a judge but its no coincidence that when it was time to go to war, the head man would not follow her orders. He told her she had to come before he would go. Did David ever have that problem?Nope. David said go and they went. I believe the reference to no difference b/t Jew/Gentile, male/female, free/bond has to do with who can be saved. God is no respector of persons. Whoever believes the Gospel can be saved. Under the Body of Christ a Jew has no more preference than a Gentile nor a man over a woman. We are all a part of the Body. Paul states that Eve was conned first and thats why God set man as the head to pastor. I do believe women are called to be ministers as Paul commended many women in his writings.
