"Master" Prophet Bernard Jordan
OK - normally, I'm skeptical of the religious media "watchdogs" that perform the service of self appointed "theology cop" to the Christian world. HOWEVER - let's talk about "Master Prophet" Bernard Jordan for a minute. What is a "Master Prophet" anyway? Is that like a "Master Plumber?" I don't really find that designation in the Bible...
Anyway - I started watching him on BET early in the morning when I'm working out, and let me tell you - you can just get lost in his website. You can order a personal prophecy, be part of the "prophecology" event (whatever that is), pay $1199 for a year of prophetic teachings, or for only $3,000 become part of the prophetic "inner circle."
I mean let's face it- this guy has endorsements from Al Sharpton, Russel Simmons, and even Rev. Ike. How can you go wrong with that?
So what should we do about this guy? We get bent out of shape when a Pastor struggles with a sexual sin and finally collapses. As least he's struggled and appears to be on the path to restoration. But we let a guy like Bernard Jordan get a pass as if nothing's going on. Where's the Bible Answer Man on this one? Where are the theology cops now?
How do we get the word out and what can be done about guys like this?
I signed up for "The Trailblazer". He is going to "discern" my future for me...what a relief...just what I've been praying for. The best $365 I've ever spent!
i pray that you are not serious. where can you find anywhere in the bible that any prophet of God charges anyone for a word?? when God says speaks, thats it point blank period. im tired of so called men and women of God prostituting the gift and those that coming to them for help arent getting helped. cut him off!! he is a wolf in sheep clothing. and yes i can judge, because im judging rightly as the bible gives me authority to do so. as a man of God notoriey shouldnt even be in your circle. Hopefully this response of mine won't be deleted like the other one was since I think it's only fair that people of different sides of this debate should be allowed to be heard.
Now, what I find amazing is that people seem to be more angry about the money issue than with something actually deemed evil by Scripture. The Word of God NEVER has a low view of money or material prosperity. That's a WASPY modern American interpretation of Scripture. Christianity is EASTERN, both in origin and in perspective!!! Nowhere does the Bible condemn money or being rich. It simply warns us to be good stewards over those riches, which involves our being responsible in our duties to God, to self, to family, and to society with our monetary resources.
All throughout Scripture, those walking properly in covenant with God also eventually came into great financial/material wealth and possessions (Gen. 13:1-2; Job 36:11). Moreover, who does all the money belong to anyway? And where does it come from? I'm not an apologist for Prophet Jordan but I must ask all the prosperity-bashers on this blog:
Is the money Jordan gets "other people's" money?
And, if so, where did THEY get that money from? From the sky? Off of a tree? Or did they mint it themselves?
Is the money you have in your wallet or purse right now YOUR money? Or is a money simply a DIVINE IDEA that comes from the Father to bless all of humanity?
Did Jordan at any given time put a gun to their heads and demand their life or their money?
Is Jordan not following the same exact acceptable pattern that we practice in all of society, which is EXCHANGING VALUE FOR VALUE, i.e., our monetary value in exchange for service value? Didn't the Bible show the people of antiquity exchaning MONEY & FOOD & RICHES FOR PROPHETIC GUIDANCE in 1 Sam. 9:6-13; 1 Kgs. 14:1-6; 2 Kgs. 8:8-11; and other places in Scripture? It's right there IN THE BIBLE!!! Not the Q'uran or the Bhagavad Gita or the Upanishads. The Bible---God's Word!!!
Do prophets have bills to pay, just like any other minister or person in the world? Why are prophets the only people expected to leave their income to the whims of people? When it comes to freewill offerings, how can a person know what your monthly expenditures are so as not to shortchange you in the freewill offering, since the freewill offering is your income? Is every Christian on the planet THAT in tune with the Holy Spirit at all times in order to know just how much they should give in an offering that will NOT leave the man/woman of God shortchanged and in jeopardy of NOT being able to pay their bills? Of course not! Funny how ministers like John Bevere and others, who sell their books and tapes and CDs and DVDs say it's wrong for a minister to charge a fee for a meeting or prophetic guidance when THEY THEMSELVES also charge fees for their resources! If they were consistent, they would GIVE AWAY all their ministry resources FOR FREE. But do they do that? No! Why? Because of something called HYPOCRISY!!!
Instead of spending all of their time trying to figure out why we should NOT prosper, Christians should start celebrating all of the prosperity precepts, promises, and examples we see in the Bible.
Instead of spouting off all kinds of venom and rhetoric based on EMOTION or OPINION or what's POPULAR, why not let's be mature Christians and discuss prosperity and money from SCRIPTURE, exegeted in PROPER CONTEXT, and you'll be amazed at just how concerned the Father is about His children's finances.
The Word says a "good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children" (Prov. 13:22). Now, you can't very well leave much of anything to your grands if you're living a life where only your basic needs are being met with maybe a little left over, now can you? But you can if you're RICH!!! Indeed, "the blessing of the Lord it maketh RICH, and He addeth no sorrow with it" (Prov. 10:22).

Anyone can spout off rhetoric and emotionalism, especially when it comes to money! But a true thinking Christian man or Christian woman will, as the Word directs us ,will "rightly divide the word of truth".
I am a lover of tradition and one does tend to get comfortable, especially in the church,with what one is use to. However, when traditional beliefs, especially about money, do not line up with the Word, whether they make us"comfortable" or not, we must side with TRUTH and dig deeper so that "with all our getting, we will get an understanding".

I agree with you to a CERTAIN extent, I don't think God wants us to be paupers, Because His word does say He is able to do exceedingly and ABUNDANTLY above ALL we can ask or think! & I'm sure we can ALL think of being rich! However, my dispute is with his ARROGANCE! Who is he to call himself a "Master"? Where is his HUMILITY? Why not just be called a Prophet? What makes him better than EVERYONE else to whom God has also given the gift of Prophecy? Wouldn't that fall under the category of PRIDE? Elijah was a great Prophet, but he never requested anyone to call him "master" anything! Isn't God the MASTER? If there are other men/women of God with other gifts, like singing, preaching or writing what would you think of them if they called themselves "master singer", "master preacher" or "master writer"? He makes himself sound like some sort of secular recording artist who doesn't know God at all! His pride and arrogance alone would tell me that he is undeserving! He is no "master" God is the ONLY MASTER! Anything that tries to share attention with God is Anti-God & therefore is not of God! Which is why I wouldn't contribute to his FALSEHOOD!
You've said a page full, however its not of God to gain riches at poorer peoples expense. The word of God says if you GIVE to the poor you lend to the Lord, not if you take from them. There's a difference between leaders who ask for offering and tithe to pay nessasary bills in the church and even a modest salary. But any man/woman of God who's sees nothing wrong with driving around in a rolls royce will their members are taking a bus or driving a hoopty, is very haughty. I'm sooo sick and tired of these greedy preachers making every excuse, and manipulating every scripture in the bible possible to encourge people to give all this money, yet the only ones living like Kings are the ones preaching this filth and their little entourage! Riches shouldn't be gained at the poors expense or loss. As you read the Bible, you will find that their were times that God caused the poor to give even when they thought they couldn't. This was even to the point in which, God instructed a widow to give her "last bit of food" to a prophet. However, it wasn't at her expense but, rather for her gain!! Please know that no where in the Bible does God tell a poor person that they shouldn't give....only that we all do not give grudgingly. Also, if a pastor has to wait for everyone in his church to get a new car before he/she is allowed to purchase a luxury car that would be complete non-sense as well as impossible if it's a growing church.
No one should make Christianity what they "think" it should be, but rather read the Word and study to show yourself approved unto God. And as far as the "Kings" reference...God himself refers to us as a "royal priesthood" & "heirs of the kingdom".

I guess I am late in responding. Ms Nikki I you really don't need to be flattering yourself because your response to me is redundant and I don't need your correction. Regardless of what you think greed is greed, and manipulation is manipulation. That's why I'm glad that I have knowledge of what the word says about giving and its parables. So I'm also grateful for the common sense that God gave me, that will NOT allow me to give anymore than what I wanna give which is between me and God. I don't need to read 500 scriptures and hear 1001 different explainations. So if you are feeling so "royal" and "rich" that you wanna help make some preachers benz and mansion payment then you can do that, while I vote with my feet.
i somewhat agree with you. my belief is this, men & women of God sacrifice for the things they get example: God requires much of them, they could be in a service and have say 500.00 and God will ask them for 400.00 of it. thats a sacrifice, or you might have used your faith to get say a nice suit and the first time you wear it God may ask you to give it to someone. again sacrifice. he never asks of us to take but to always give. if he asks of us he is testing us one to see if we have the things or the things have us. if you pass the test not saying its easy or that you won't really feel it sometime, he is trying to position us for way more than we can see at that moment. unless you understand how he moves and have wisdom on obeying and knowing that giving is never a loss its to position us for gain. i don't know enough about jordan to comment but i will say that no matter what career i chose i want to live the best life i can, i see no difference with a call to ministry. this is not something we wake up and say God i want to preach...at least i didn't. i ran for years and did not want to hear anything about preaching cause i had a glimpse of what came with the territory. at this point in my life i surrender. the people taking the bus must use their faith to get them out of poverty & lack, they have to know how to sow seed and command a harvest for better transportation. no preachers shouldnt ignore needs within their congregations however sometimes people just aren't good stewards over what they do have. or the enemy has fought their progress and they need that power broken off their life. these are my two cents :)

I agree on certain levels & on certain levels I don't agree with what your trying to stress. On the one hand, Abraham, David, Solomon, etc. (just to name a few) were "bible characters" (for lack of a better term) that had obtained great wealth, but one thing that I noticed about them was: 1) They put their trust in God (Abraham told Lot to choose what he thought was the better land, because he knew that the land wasn't the blessing, the provider of the land would bless where ever he was; David blessed God & wanted to build Him a house w/ the riches he was a steward over; God in turn told David the He would be him a house instead & David made sure that Solomon had everything the he needed to build a house for God; And if there's one thing that I can say about Solomon, he might have had 1000 women (wives & concubines, respectively), he had one of the richest cultures financially that the earth had ever seen (even man servant & maid servants had gold & precious metals like we have nickels & dimes). Does Bernard Jordan fit into any of these categories? I'll let you be the judge. As far as ministries charging for tapes, DVDs & such the like, I think this could go either way, but more times than none, there's really no profit for the people making these things available to the public. The monies that are charged are just enough to keep that part of the media going & even then, these are not PERSONAL prophecies; in other words, not just paying someone for something that you want to hear (namely, financial prosperity). 2) I know one prophet who didn't charge anything for the prophecy that he had given. Look up Elisha in II Kings 5, when he gave Naaman the Syrian directions on what to do to cure his leprosy. He even sent Gehazi to meet Naaman when in his spirit he perceived that Elisha was going to put on a show. He only showed his face (Elisha) AFTER the directions were followed & the prophecy fulfilled. He didn't receive anything that Naaman brought, because he desired for God to get the glory & not bring glory unto himself. Gehazi caught the same leprosy for taking the same stuff that Elisha refused to take (so that he wouldn't take glory from God). Does Bernard Jordan fit into that category? I'll let you be the judge. In every area that I have seen, Bernard Jordan seems to be wanting in every single area. I'm not against the financially abundant in the kingdom, but I know that Peter, Paul, John, Priscilla, Aquila, Apollos & the list is not exhausted were all people in the kingdom that had a major impact on the movement of Christianity & didn't have a lot of money. Read through the New Testament & see if I am not telling the truth. The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. There is no other way if He's not getting the glory.

Dude...wake up. The references to "money" in others' posts within this thread are aimed at "Master Prophet Jordan" selling prohecies. He and his organization are nothing more than fortune tellers selling the "services" on line and on TV. We all know what happened to King Saul when he visited fortune tellers in the Old Testament don't we? Prophecy is not a "water spigot" that one can turn off and on anytime one wishes. The true word of the Lord (Elohim, Jehovah, etc) is the Bible. However, there are times when God does "speak" to His people addressing specific situations. Never is it supposed to become common place or routine...God will not be mocked and is never "ordinary". This, self proclaimed "master" prophet Jordan is nothing but a hoax and his prophecies are inspired by evil/deceiving spirits. In all of these scriptures...no wehre does it mention payment for the gift that God has given...and it also states that God gives these gifts as He so desires...not as man desires....it is pure evil that this man proclaims he can teach anyone to be a prophet if they pay his this and that......and when you pay for a so called prophecy what you are in fact paying for is witchcraft....you don't need to pay ANYONE for a word of God....JUST OPEN UP YOUR BIBLE AND THERE IS ALL THE WORD OF GOD YOU NEED...STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD HIMSELF!!!!!!

This is so true. the words are given through your birthday and your name. it is numerology. Tha tis why thery need your name and birthday. they claim that it is to make sure the mail goes to the correct address but it is not true it is to do numerology. I know that you no longer uses numerology i dont eighter but I was told that it is the same. I called and was given a word but I gave a different birthdate. When I told them the correct birthdate it was a different reading. If God gives you a word it is that and nothing else. It does not matter what your birthday.

Let me tell you a story. Early this afternoon I called the Benard Jordan line and an opperator answers the phone. I asked about the so called prophet program, refering to the cost. The young man said $5000 dollars followed by a $1500 dollar donation. I replied that is a high price. He answered back GOD AINT CHEAP!!!!....
This shows me there is a problem. I remember a story about jesus and a man of magic who wanted to make loads of money because of the powers he had. Jesus replied that isn't Gods work. Put simpley...... God doesn't charge for helping us so why do we allow people like so called Bishop Jordan get away with this? Well the one he has to fear is the wrath of God for being a false prophet. It is written in the Bible that there will be many false prophets and they will be delt by the hand of GOD.
you have got to be kidding me. why would you PAY money to any man/woman for God to reveal anything to you. when all you have to do is to establish a relationship with Him, and talk. He does respond to prayer. That's money that could have used to really help build in the kingodom of God, by giving to your location place of worship in the form of a THITHE or OFFERING.
master prophet uses the bible verse I samuel chapter 9 verse 9. because it says that in the past in israel if someone wanted to ask something of god they would go and see a seer. and we are not to come empty handed to our Father in heaven. so why not pay the seer that spends time with god and knows god better than some of us new christians. am i wrong?
To answer your question, did not Jesus come to make intercession for us? Jesus came that we would come into the presence of God through him. The word says that no one come before the Father except through me. Therefore, if Jesus did not charge us to come to him to get to the Father, then why should this man charge such ridiculous prices for a word from God? Why would he charge at all? If he were led by God then would he give the word anyway? Doesn't the Word say that our gift will make room for us, that God will supply my every need, not man? I am not saying that this man is a false prophet becasue he may be real, but I do question some of the tactics that he uses, just beacuse you are anointed doesn't mean that you lose focus of God. Any proclaimed master prophet having need of water, food, clothing and shelter anywhere on the earth today. Another esteemed reward of an HOLY prophet is the ability to prophesy by faith and know that the LORD of Host shall grant/give that which they have asked. However, a reward meaneth little or almost nothing if it is not fulfilling, therefore probally the most important fulfillment of an HOLY Prophet is to be lead by the HOLY SPIRIT, the second most probally is for the people to accept and receive the word they bring, and thirdly is more than likely a good report. After the LORD GOD, his HOLY WORD and his HOLY SPIRIT; the order may vary depending on the prophet, time, place, circumstance, instruction(s), etc.. So we as a people proclaiming to be righteous, of truth, must seek not to perish due to lack of knowledge. Therefore we must accept and acknowledge that a Holy prophets greatest reward is given by the LORD GOD and an Holy prophet will acknowledge such in speech and deed. There are times when a Holy Prophet may or may not ask for charity from others; and greatly there are times when others are able to give freely unto a Holy Prophet. However a true prophet of the LORD GOD will acknowledge quickly and sincerely that are more concerned with the spiritual well being and eternal situation of those they are allowed to speak with,minister or prophesy unto. In summary being a Holy prophet is about more that massing great sums of wealth and leaving an inheiritance for children's-children; for it is written also that "The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous." Remeber to pray and fast that truth be not hid, and that wickedness in high places be brought down. Above all that the will of the LORD GOD be done and cause the falsehood of greed to be slain from the hearts, souls mind and spirits of men and women that their souls may be saved from destruction.

I just graduated from a school where this so called Master Prophets son is studying opera. He too is called a prophet and guess what? What's wrong with the Young Prophet having nice things? The man of God has been blessed with great wealth due to his prophetic teachings and we the members of Zoe Ministries. I joined in July of 2009 and have tithed regularly. The Young Prophet is the one who introduced me to Zoe Ministries and the Master Prophet. His success is a sign of favor from God. We should all take notice.
That's just why I don't go to predominately black churches. Because there are too many power hungry people who want to pick up where prejudiced white people left off by taking advantage of poor black people by manipulating and using them for their own financial gain. He later found out that the something (someone) missing was Jesus Christ! His secretary was the one who first told him about the Lord and she and her husband lead him to Christ and he joined their church. That's what I call REAL testimony of prosperity. Not none of this crap some of these ignorant knee-grows are talking. If you want real prosperity, then get off your tookus get an education graduate with a degree, make YOUR OWN money, save, spend and invest wisely. Don't do a bunch of dumb stuff with it, perhaps start a legitimate business be mindful of how you treat people as well as your health etc. Give God the glory and honour for it all and those are keys to prosperity. I think it is wrong for somone that has been given a gift to take it and prostitute it. I am currently studying using his book spiritual protocol. He clearly has the ability to hear from God... However the bible clearly says "let he that is free from sin cast the first stone"... Its no ones place to judge where his heart is ,or decide what he should repent for. You are so right. If people want a word from the Lord, all they have to do is to enter into His presence of the Most High King with praise and worship. But that is too hard for people to do, it takes time and effort and repentance, surrender and obedience. Here is the prophetic word. My question is there is no scripture for "Master Prophet" so then why do we need prophets in 2008 when christ was the ultimate sacrifice and he left us with the spirit and with prayer christ is the direct link to GOD the only reason they need prophets in the old testament was because they didnt have that connection. This makes me think of when Jesus turned over tables in front of the temple. Religiosity, pride, and making money off the naivety and innocence of others, is unacceptable. God is Truth, Satan is the deceiver, and the way we live out our lives reveals who we are living with and for. As leaders, we must fight on behalf of our family who are being deceived and led away from what is True. Some may never find their way back. But in addition to the anger I feel on behalf of all who this man deceives for selfish ambition, I also feel sad and burdened for him. So as we get rightfully angry against the lies that are leading so many away from what is true and good, I encourage all of us to recognize our own humanness, and be on guard for any lies that we may be believing. The war is on, and too many great leaders are being taken out. Let's pray for each other, and ask our Abba to hold us especially tight to his chest.

A lot of people think that because a person has a gift of prophecy (or really any gift) that they must be of God. But we have to remember to try the spirit by the Word of God, not by the spirit. Satan can mimick anything that God has, because remember, he comes as an "Angel of Light". The difference, is that God's ways leads to eternal love and life. Whereas Satan ways leads to eternal deception and death.

I first saw this man at 4 am on one of the christian channels I watch a few months ago , I immediately sensed that something is not right with him. It sickens me to see so many people to be drawn to this man. In my view he is a deceiver straight from hell. I have checked his website out and am amazed about how it is ALL about the money. Tonight I came across him on a website. I watched his live internet streaming tonite on www.streamingfaith.com and clearly see that he is nothing but a fraud just taking innocent peoples money all in the name of God. During this live streaming I watched as he was guilting people into buying 12 books (The Law of Thinking) because he really wants this book to be number 1 and then he wanted everyone in the chatroom approx 100 from what he said (I was not in the chatroom, but watching the live stream) to go to Amazon.com to post a comment and then got very upset that only 17 had posted to a discussion that he had started, so he made them all in the chatroom agree to post a one line comment in regard to his discussion of "I am Money" And alot did do that! The first 2 hrs of his show was all about getting people to buy at least 12 books, and would check throughout the night to see if his sale figures on the new book had gone up and they had not and he was very upset and would go on and on making people feel guilty that they had not bought 12 of his books but believe me many had!! Anyone who is a christian has to see that this man is a true deceiver and is not of the Almighty God. He does not talk very much of Jesus Christ. I read some of the amazon comments and alot of the people were saying they were GOD and that they are Money. Money is truly the main focus with this guy. In my opinion he is a glorified psychic using the name of my GOD and this upsets me terribly... When you get a reading from him you have to give a birthday which to me is the biggest indicator of a psychic. Him and his puppet prophets were all laughing at one point about what sign (virgo, gemini etc.) they were and their personalities and any true christian or prophet for that matter knows that we do not go by that kind of stuff it is ALL a part of witchcraft. He never talks about the money he receives going for the furthering of the Gospel as the bible says... It is just so sickening to see all these people giving their money in the name of God and it appears as if the God he is representing is not the God that christians serve!! I have no problem with people giving money, I am a tither and give offerings regularly but we are supposed to give for the furthering of the Gospel not to make someone rich. And God says to not put your focus on money but on him and he would supply all of our needs, that he is our source, not Jordan the So Called Master Prophet!!! This needs to be exposed so people can know the truth and the truth will set them free as the word of God says. There is a comment from one of his followers above that says how come he knows all the things he does, well if you read the bible it talks about how fimiliar spirits (evil spirits) can communicate with people (psychics) just like a true prophet does with the Holy Spirit. Tell me how a man of God and a Prophet can just outright break the law by ignoring people's request for his ministry to stop calling their house every week and try to get money from me. After all my Bible tells me that I can go bodly to the throne of God and he will give me all I need. I totally agree with your comments about the "Master Profit". I tried to get some answers from his staff about why Bernard Jordan is fleecing God's people they however, felt that they didn't owe me an explaination and they claimed I was harrassing the ministry with my comments on their website. This was long after I asked them to never send me any e-mails about their ministry but they continued to do it. I have sent information to the "Bible Answer Man", as well as some pastors locally to do some research on this man so I am standing by for some replys.

Jesus spoke often in the Word of how to recognize false prophets (or the anti- Christ which simply means against Christ). The Word is judgment. If one is not a believer and follower of Christ....he is none of His as Jesus has clearly stated in the Word. It is sad to see vulnerable people who really follow and believe in people who are not aligned with the Word...what they don't realize is that they are not following Christ. The accountability falls with the leader AND the follower. I believe if you are truly meditating and studying the Word, have a definite prayer life seeking the face of the Living God diligently everyday (more than twice daily), you will not open yourself to an occasion to stumble. Spending time in the presence of the Lord changes you. God speaks to His people. Jesus says...My sheep hear my voice and the voice of a STRANGER they will not follow. The sheep of Jesus know the voice of a stranger. I can hear someone close to me speak and may not know they are near...they could have just come in the house without my knowledge. As soon as they speak I know their voice! The voice of God is the same way. In stating this, I am in no way saying that prophets are not given to the body. They are.... but so are teachers, preachers, evangelist, and Apostles. There should be a balance to everything. If Jesus is not the center of all that is being done and said.....something is definitely wrong. We need to meditate and stay close to Him to have this type of discernment. ALL of God's children are special to Him. His REAL children will give ALL the Glory to God because they realize that HE ALONE IS GOD. When a person lifts themselves up and points everything to themselves...God is not in that. God is not going to take back a gift He has given because it is being misused....but, HE IS GOING TO JUDGE THESE ACTS SEVERELY.

I have been praying about the above mentioned ministry. I'm not a judge of any man, because God forbids it. I feel it's particularly important not to judge a servant of God, even if we don't fully agree with their teaching or lifestyle. SO it's not my intent to judge this man, but to attempt to bring whatever insight I can to aid others in their interpretation of this ministry. But God does want us to walk as children of Light, rightly dividing and discerning the truth of His Word. God expects His people to exercise wisdom about all things related to giving and ministries we align with. We must use spiritual wisdom and only give to ministries that have God's seal of approval on them. I haven't seen this man too many times and I no longer watch for the following reason. I know that at least one, maybe more, of his books are published by Hay House. That publishing company is affiliated with Louise Hay. I have read her books when I was in New Age. It is my belief that she is a very spiritual woman and I feel her intentions are good. But I also feel she unknowingly operates with a spirit of witchcraft. I say that because I have a thorough knowledge of God's Word through a lifetime of studying it, and attempting to rightly divide it by the Spirit of God. I have read her materials and lined them up with scriptural teaching. She is not mainstream Christianity. She is totally aligned with New Age. This was my first clue that the above mentioned ministry needed to be handled carefully. It's my belief that he probably hasn't had the spiritual maturity to learn to discern associations to a proper degree spiritually. New Age publishers may be an easier door to walk through, in publishing controversial materials. New Age embraces an abundance teaching and perhaps that was the ease with which this type of material could be published. But I feel it was a mistake on the part of the above mentioned ministry to not check out the publishers spiritual background more. I think it's been a mistake to not exercise greater wisdom and have greater understanding of such matters as a Christian leader. I feel he has probably lacked balance and depth in these matters because of his young age and not having a balanced understanding of the full counsel of God's Word. But I feel he's needed to do his homework before making any such business or spiritual alliance, as a Christian minister. Without true discernment and spiritual maturity, one can't possibly understand the results of such a union. It gives an open door to all sorts of demonic influence and deception. PLEASE Church of Jesus Christ, pray for such people and do not be defled by subtle spiritual error. That is why we need to consistently be studying God's Word and know it. That's the real key about error. If we don't know the Word thoroughly, we will not recognize error when we see or hear it. That is why many have been led astray, by having an element of truth and running with it, without being mature in the Word of God. We must be very careful about everything that comes into our lives and homes through any portal or influence. A portal is any entrance that can bring in spiritual energy. Be it an open door, window, computer line, cable line, television, phone line, reading materials, tapes, videos, books, gifts, other items or a person. Be wise and keep your lives and homes untainted by the world and unholy teachings and communion. Sometimes we have to really try things by the Spirit, seeking God and waiting upon HIM for the answer, not the opinions of men.
This young man may not have any idea he's aligned with witchcraft through this publishing company. And it may not be his only harmful association, unknowingly. It's my belief that he has lacked spiritual depth and not had a balance of spiritual understanding, not meaning to err, but aligning with Spirits that can influence through association. I feel it's a very dangerous thing to not watch our spiritual contacts, not only as lay people but particularly as spiritual leaders. Therefore, being led off the righteous path, having taken some truth and not had the maturity to discern when light has moved into a gray area. Let us know who we are receiving from and guard our hearts with all diligence.. Let us seek God well regarding any monies we distribute and where it is to go. I have truly learned as a spiritual leader to not align with any ministry or minister, without seeking God's heart and without doing a thorough background check. We must watch the lives of spiritual leaders, to see if they are balanced in their teaching and living. I do not ever want to touch God's annointed, less a curse come upon me. But I also feel a need and duty to warn others to seek God's wisdom thoroughly in all matters and relations, before aligning with them. See if there is anything that gives an indication of instability or immaturity in their spiritual walk. There is so much new age that has subtly infiltrated God's people. We must be very astute and alert to be able to judge between light and the gray areas. Please, my brothers and sisters, seek God and be alert to every ministry that is extreme where finances are concerned. There are alot of ministries that are teaching prosperity, and I believe in the Covenant Blessings of Abraham. It's scriptural. Read Deut. 14. But it must be balanced by the Word. When it comes to a ministry or minister owning a $13M or $2M dollar home, I have to draw the line. What man or woman of God needs that extravagance when people are dying of hunger and spiritual food? I don't feel it's even an appropriate image for a servant of God. Let Jesus' lifestyle be the guide. I feel it has stepped outside of God's wisdom and truth. Monies are to propagate the Gospel and to help the needy, which are abundant in this earth. Be wise! Discern through counsel of God's Word. Know the background of people you support. Study them thoroughly and put seed in good soil, that only God has approved you to support.

Another point: Many self-proclaimed prophets unknowingly use a spirit of divination for their prophecies. This does not mean that they are bad people, but they are deceived. And for people out there receiving "guidance" in ignorance through a spirit of divination, this can open them up to spiritual attack, and even physical infirmity (because the spirit of divination is linked to infirmity). So we must all be careful and we must ask God for spiritual discernment.
In fact, we should not be running to a prophet all the time for guidance! We should be developing our own relationship with God and learning to hear God's voice ourselves! This is a bit of hard work in terms of really spending time meditating on the Word and on praying daily, but if you press on and if you are dedicated, it will pay off!

My comment: The problem I have with the Louise Hay CD, as well as with many New Age Teachers/Leaders/Writers is that some of their teachings are a direct violation of scripture. God's Word says that if we choose any POWER (angelic, or other power) other than the power of God, a curse will come upon us. (I forget the text on this scripture, but it's there.) The CD is clearly encouraging people to call on Angels to assist them. There is nowhere in scripture that we are given permission to call upon an angel. Because the spirit realm is filled with good and evil spirits, those who are not strong spiritually, and who don't have Biblical knowledge can open themselves to demonic spirits unknowingly. This is a great danger.
There is another problem I have with Bernard Jordan's teaching. He teaches "The Law of Attraction", which is a teaching going around the internet, and reaching millions. The problem with this teaching, although somewhat Biblical, is that it doesn't allow room for God in one's planning and envisioning the future. All efforts are made by self, therefore propagating a Humanistic ideology. I've enclosed Pastor Tom Brown's (Pastor/Evangelist in El,Paso, TX) comments about "The Law of Attraction" below. Although their are many views on this topic, we should not judge any one. We all have a thorn in our side and sins that we hopelfully are trying to get dilivered from. Saul was anoited by God as king although God fired him from being king and anoited David as king, David could have killed Saul but he couldnt touch him because God anoited him. Bishop Jordan has touched many lives through the word of God that came out of his mouth. Maybe it is not your season for your prophecy are you just dont believe in the Gift at all because of many people who claim to be prophets and that are teaching false doctrine. Here is the sad but true fact about having a gift- "-It comes without repentance"- so what that means is that Father blesses us with certain gifts; like prophecy, for instance and we can move in them but still be have a faulty life or agenda. Balaam was "once" a prophet who ended with the legacy of "sorcerer" because he used his gift to curse instead of bless, he used his gift for personal gain aligning himself with the enemies of God's people. In other words, aligning himself against the one True God. I'm not accusing Prophet Jordan of anything, I am not his judge, but what I will say is it is sad when people try to defend wrong. If anyone's actions go against the word of the Living God then we should be sideing with the Living God. Just because some of his prophecy's have come to pass and you went from "ashy-to-classy" (as someone stated) doesn't mean he is not human and can not fall into deception. We have to know the WORD for ourselves, so that when seductive, deceptive spirits come along we can discern them for what they are. As a matter of fact we should pray for the spirit of discernment. Your spirit should be alarmed when prophecy's are for sale. I mean, we should sow a seed- that is scripture and in turn we reap a blessing, but when we turn or gifts into a business? please. Jesus when stark-raving mad when they were selling in the temple. Church is turning into this. Wake up.

The Anointing on Bernard Jordan's life is amazing. The presence of God around him is also powerful. Although I do not fully understand the money, I know that if the money is used for God's work, it is good money.
Many of you even in this room who are critical of this man, do not know him. Nor do you know God. Because if you knew God, you would recognize the anointing upon his life. Money and ministry go hand and hand. Without money, those who are ministers would not be able to give into your life, because there focus would be upon self, as to survive.
If Bernard Jordan was wrong, wouldn't you think the government would shut him down as they have investigated everyone else? Even those Televangilists that you watch? But with 30 years experience, he continues to prove that he is called, for the work of God will always prove the test of time. Money should never come first, perhaps the approach should be different. Many people such as yourself are not opposed in giving to a ministry. But with this said, think about this clearly and with intelligence.
Go to any MAJOR ministry and ask them to speak into your life. Go to any well-known minister and ask them for a word from God. I have come to the conclusion that Bernard Jordan is not so much after your money as you think he is, because much of his money is given away. There is nothing wrong with being wealthy. But there is something wrong with being wealthy and not helping people. He continues to speak into Millions of lives and he is equipping many people for self-improvement.
I think we should re-evaluate our approach and look at the good side of this man, rather than all the negative. Your sinful desires pull out the negative, but if you had the perception of Christ, you would see people through the eyes of love.

The anointing upon a man's Life is spiritual discerned. Let me go deeper in my approach. If you cannot discern a man's gift or anointing with accuracy, then your knowledge of God is limited, because the closer you are to God, the "Greater Foresight" you will ultimately carry. So yes, by discernment or one mans gift/anointing can you reveal how well you know God.
It is the the Anointing of Bishop Jordan that I am speaking of, but rather the anointing of any man of God. It is always right to question and challenge where the money is going. But in regards to this approach, it would be better for these people who accuse him, to better themselves by looking in the "Mirror". Perhaps as they focus upon self and not others, they may find a secret sin to work on, instead of making judgment's which connect to personal protocals and inconsistent opinions.
I am not defending this man, but rather express the truth of what I know. In light of this discovery, I believe it is only wise to look to Christ first and foremost, as you mentioned and not one man or even your own minister/pastor that you see every Sunday.

Now obviously I do think that God wants His children to be blessed and I do think that ministries need financial support. Jesus did come so that we can have abundant life even now while we are on earth. Ministries do need money to sustain themselves, and for community projects, feeding the poor, missions, etc. But as soon as the focus is on extravagent amounts of money and there is a manipulative spirit behind it....then I hear warning bells! I think we should always learn from checking what Jesus Himself said about money in the New Testament, since Jesus is God. He said to the rich man that he should give up everything he has and follow Him.......it is harder for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rch man to enter the Kingdom of God....because a rich man relies on his riches to solve all his problems, so he doesn't need to rely on God to bail him out. It is when we are in desperate situations that we realise we can't rely on anything but God to help us, and this builds true fatih...

One day I stubbled across his ministry on tv, prophecising and encouraging viewers to call in to receive a prophecy. Well, I called this number 800-296-1941 and got a recording of him speaking and instructing me to leave my name, address, and birthday, and that I will receive a letter giving a shocking secret that has happened in my life. At this point, I'm like wow!, if this man can reveal to me what that shocking secret was, then I have no reason to doubt him. So, I waited and waited and waited for months, finally I received the letter. Anxiously, reading the letter there was not a shocking secret that was revealed. But, there was talk about what God intends to do for me if I sow this seed of a small amount (don't remember). When he did not follow through on his promise, I decided he was a fake who was just after money. Then one day I received another letter talking about what God has in store for me if I sow this seed (different amount). As time past more letters came, and then they stopped. Well today I received a call from NY. I didn't recognize the caller id, but was curious and answered. This time it was another recording telling me to call 641-594-7500 and to give this conference code 359013# for a conference with Master Prophet because God has instructed him to prophecy to me. I made this long distance call and followed the rules, and instantly I was able to here a conference which included him and other prophets calling names of individuals who have sow a seed from $37-$352 dollars. A prophet was assigned to that individual to give their prophecy, and then followed with Master Prophets prophecy. Furthermore, some givers would be instructed after sowing a seed of $35 dollars to sow $352 dollar more because they had more prophecy and counseling and offers to share with them. Anybody that gave $118 would receive a book of prophecy that included about Barack Obama becoming the President of the United States and that African Americans should not rejoice in this because there will be much suffering amongst them. That Barack will be a puppet of munipulation, etc. But, because of the problems I'm having in my life currently I wanted to here something that may be positive about me. So, I called a number 212-316-2177 given by him to sow a seed for $37 , and then called back to NY hoping to hear my name called during the conference. While listening he said to call this number 800-296-1941 to receive a letter from him. Well I did, and what did I get , that same recording telling me that he had a shocking secret to reveal about me. At this point the doubt in my MIND was heavy,I felt so STUPID,and swindled by this man. Now, I wanted to call my bank to put a stop on this payment. As I was thinking of this, the phone rang, it was the NY call. The lady that took my information from my card said that my card would not go through, and she repeated the numbers back to me to confirm. She then asked me did I want to use another card. Feeling so grateful to God, I said no.

I am so glad you took time to right this. No more than an hour ago I was watching this guy on television and decided to search his name. When you broadcast something of this magnitude and have respectable people backing you such as Judge Hatchet, Al Sharpton ? , and Rev Run formerly of Run DMC one tends to beleive that he maybe a real prophet. Honestly I do believe that GOD gives these types of gifts, however often the flesh (humans) tend to exploit the gifts given by GOD. Please do not feel stupid. There are many people out there just like you who are looking for answers. Unfortunately while looking we run into those who profess to be able to give answers when they cannot or are looking to get your money. I fell for this too. I was just curious and I stayed on the phone for sometime before I finally hung up. After reading you post and the post of others I feel relieved that I hung-up when I did. I just hope I'm not charged for the call or that my call to them will set-off a series of unwanted solicitation calls from them. You story has helped others - thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. I tried calling the church to reach an old Deacon friend of mine that I knew years ago when I lived in New York and was immediately greeted by persons who wanted me to donate. I said no I'm not giving any money. I'm trying to reach Deacon Martin or someone in Media. They just kept asking for money and then eventually hung up on me.
Whenever you approach a prophet, you must have a tithe, offering, or sacrafice in hand. I always do when I call. I hope to be able to join the POME organization, and move to NYC to study under the Master Prophet and his son, Manasseh.

I too believe it is our responsibility to let everyone know about the Gospel and Jesus, and all that God can do and most of all, let this all be under the umbrella of "service". I want to live to serve. I agree that we need to pray for these people on the tele, these self appointed prophets.
I have seen Mr. Jordan's shows, and recently called to hear one of his live phone conferences that allow you to listen and type in a chatroom and the same time, since they cannot hear you over the phone anyway. I could not tell you why in the world I would even consider doing this, but I did. I guess I thought, hey, I can hear their study, ask for prayer and it would be cool....It was not. One "prophetess" told me "don't come asking for something for nothing, and never come to a prophet empty handed". When I told (typed to them) that I didnt have any money to buy anything, one man must have seen my typing (there werent but a few in the chatroom) and he said on the phone "those of you hoding on to your seed, you know you have it and better give it up!"
All I needed was prayer. They did not once offer it to me. Even though I was informed of their sales pressure, It was the middle of th night, and I needed human contact and prayer. I cried all night and prayed because I felt so much anger and hate.
They, just like we all do, need prayer. I called the next day to tell them that I didnt want their "free written prophesy" and the lady said "well, if you asked for it, you can just throw it away when it gets there. I told her I just ordered it very earliy that same morn, she took my name, and I told her that what happened really hurt me, and I just wanted prayer. She hung up on me then. pray for them. I just dont get how people can be so cold.

i thought that when you need something from the lord you ask him right? ive been getting letters from peter popoff telling me in order for me to know what my spiritual gifts are i need to send him 21 dollars. i understand that sowing a seed helps let god open doors for you and gives you blessings but i think that if we need to sak god something or know something we should ask him and that these preachers driving nice cars and having nice houses need to re evaluate themselves. mother theresa came from wealth dropped it all to live with the poor and do gods works. jesus said it is hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. i can understand being a preacher and helping the church but how much are you helping the church by having a nice home and a nice car and expensive jewelry and rings on all fingers. i think that in my opinion is wrong. we should all do our tides and help our church and our own pasture of the church but why do we help all the big churches that sponsor guys like peter popoff but not little churches barely making it about to close down. that is where i would invest in my money into a church that really needs it not where it overflows with money where the preacher is living in rich luxuries. i dont know its just my opinion god bless, Aimee

I am sorry to read all of the negative comments about Bishop Jordan. I am observing from the comments that are written that people are seeking prophecies and making contributions with ulterior motivations. There are principles in God's word that describe what our actions should be to prosper physically and spiritually. The difference between myself and many critics is that I have a relationship with God and apply his word and have already heard from him first and Bishop Jordan only confirmed what God has already told me from his word and via the Holy Sprit. God showed me that I will obtain a higher degree and that he would open up financial doors for me, which was revealed in prophecies from Bishop Jordan and his team: I have surrendered and consistently paid my tithes faithfully in the past three months and planted seed money for the fruit that I want to manifest. Bishop as a prophet provided confirmation, comfort, and encouragement for what I have been already praying and pondering upon. PRAISE REPORT!!!! I received a letter from the IRS and they informed me that their was a mistake on my income tax because of a change in the recovery rebate on Line 42 and that I will be refunded: $2,941.00. Prophet Jordan has not received a boat load of money from me because I wasn't paying for financial blessings, but planting seed money expecting what God has promised if I would seek the kingdom of God first and all of his righteousness......Matt.6:33. Thank You Bishop and your team for letting God use you-all of the prophecies coincided with what I have praying and ponderning in my Spirit man. My faith has always birthed miracles.
Juliah Perkins- I agree. When I called and sowed a small seed of just $52 he team prophesied to me and everything they said was what I have been pondering in my Spirit. I can not believe how accurate they were about what God had already told me through praying and worshiping God. See I went in with no alternative motives, I don't trust man but I do trust God! They just confirmed and encouraged me that those plans were the will of God for my life. The things that they said no one would have known but God! I believe that a lot of people are going to him without a pure heart. Believe God works through people like Master Prophet Jordan. Even one of the prophetess said that " the Lord said I answered you before you called." And it was so true I had been hearing this for about a couple of months but I have been slow to act on it, knowing that God was calling me to do this certain thing. There is indeed power in prophecy!!! I joined Zoe Ministries during the summer of last year, and have since sowed over $1500 into the Master Prophets ministry. His son Manasseh is starting his own phophetic ministry and I hope to meet him in person one day.

You are so right. I joined Zoe Ministries in July 2009, on a day that Manasseh was offering his prophecy. It was a life changing event. I have since sowed over $3000 into the ministry and I am saving up the money to join POME.
The prophet is the truth Period. He is a man of God. He's not asking for money. He's asking you to sow a seed. Whether it be a seed of 200 or 1000 or 5000 dollars you sow knowing that God will look out for you. I gave a seed of 1000 dollars and I dont not work. I go to school and My son is up here with me. I gave 1000 dollars knowing that if I became broke and a bum w/e God would look out for me. 3 Days later I get a call from my scholarship telling me that I'm receiving 1,800 dollars. This is how God works. it's not that your trusting the prophet, but instead your trusting GOD. But understand it's all in how u approach the situation like anything in life. One cannot deny the testimonies from his word....What do you say about those people? People always look at the BAd or try to Point out the BAD no mATTER what. Look at what People did to Jesus!

Hey, I made over $70,000 last year and only did about 40 hours worth of work - I didn't sow one dime into the Master Prophet's program - didn't call him for verification, clarification, confirmation - none of that - maybe I'm a prophet, God promised to meet my needs and guess what, He did! I find it to be true that God's sheep hear HIS voice and another's they will not follow. God spoke to me to be faithful over the little I had and HE would exalt me in due season - if people spend as much time as they say meditating on God's word, spending time listening and not talking to God, I don't see why they can't just do what they hear God saying to them - cut out the middle man - bless the weak, the poor and needy with all that money you send to the Master Prophet - don't forget the people God has a big heart for - widows and orphans - you know a portion of the tithe and offerings were to go directly to them - no middle taxation - next time send your money to an orphanage or widow's home in the name of the Master Prophet and see how blessed you are!

Another prophet who is being mentored by Jordan is Stephen Choate. He promotes himself and sells prophecy . I asked him to stop sending me his e-mail adverts for prophecies (I had received some from him previously) and he responded very angrily and now blocked me from his site.
Why do other ministries and churches never mention Jordan and Choate?? I think it is a valid question.
No Stephen did not block you from his site nor was he mentored by Bishop Jordan. He does ask for a gift by the majority of his money goes to the Gospel where as with Jordan it goes to fancy cars and big houses.

I will trash it immediately. Thank you! Stephen" Trash someone's Email ? Why ? My Emails were a question like, Stephen can I get 10 minutes from you to Worship with me the Lord ? That needs so much to be trashed is it not ? Worshipping God is a really bad thing to do. That is how it comes over when you see Stephen's answer. I don't call that a man of God. Hardly. I call that selfish and puffed up. It is impossible that someone like that is filled with the Spirit of God and has so much experiences from Jesus Himself. I have spiritually discerned him. The Lord has given me the spirit of discernment a long time ago and I am called to the world to bring them to Christ and I am called to Test the spirits whether they are out of God. I have travelled 34 countries in the world and have done most of them more that 10 times. It is is really painful for me that I have such a calling. Because rebuke is a difficult thing to do. I hate it that a lot of ministers are abusing finances for all kinds of things. The thing is that the gifts of God are irrevocable. I am very much aware that we are all sinners and no one is good. But what we need to be aware of is that there are people out there that abuse their gifts for their own glory even if they claiming that they are do it for God's glory. They are likely been trained in Astral Projection, Kundalini Power, Familiar spirits and opening of the Third Eye and using it for their own gain as the book of Jude is teaching us. Stephen does not want you to focus upon him and tries to divert you from it finding that he using things for own gain to be in the spotlight. When you study the Major and the Minor Prophets in the bible you will see that they do things for a country or a people. We can see a lot of modern day prophets what they do in the end. Like Roberts Liardon, I know him personally. Paul Cain, seen him too in ministries. They do the very thing they write books about not to do, the abominable thing of Homosexuality. Prophets need to under a Ministry with Spiritual discernment and a Theologian to correct them of becoming flakey of not lining up to the Word of God and they usually become distracted with their spiritual encounters they have and lose control over self. Prophets that are doing their own things are now in the ministry of self and money and using their gift for gain and greed. It's about the five fold ministry. All of these are together and need each other, whether by correction or edification of what ...... yes the BODY OF CHRIST ! Nothing like private revelation for money. Stephen needs to repent or even deliverance of his attitude and come down to level with those that need God and show the love of Jesus through him, including those who give him a hard time, until he has learned that, he will not be taken serious by me.
