"Master" Prophet Bernard Jordan

Return to the home page
November 20, 2006

OK - normally, I'm skeptical of the religious media "watchdogs" that perform the service of self appointed "theology cop" to the Christian world. HOWEVER - let's talk about "Master Prophet" Bernard Jordan for a minute. What is a "Master Prophet" anyway? Is that like a "Master Plumber?" I don't really find that designation in the Bible...

Anyway - I started watching him on BET early in the morning when I'm working out, and let me tell you - you can just get lost in his website. You can order a personal prophecy, be part of the "prophecology" event (whatever that is), pay $1199 for a year of prophetic teachings, or for only $3,000 become part of the prophetic "inner circle."

I mean let's face it- this guy has endorsements from Al Sharpton, Russel Simmons, and even Rev. Ike. How can you go wrong with that?

So what should we do about this guy? We get bent out of shape when a Pastor struggles with a sexual sin and finally collapses. As least he's struggled and appears to be on the path to restoration. But we let a guy like Bernard Jordan get a pass as if nothing's going on. Where's the Bible Answer Man on this one? Where are the theology cops now?

How do we get the word out and what can be done about guys like this?

I signed up for "The Trailblazer".  He is going to "discern" my future for me...what a relief...just what I've been praying for.  The best $365 I've ever spent!

by minister moore (not verified) on March 28, 2007 - 1:21pm

i pray that you are not serious. where can you find anywhere in the bible that any prophet of God charges anyone for a word?? when God says speaks, thats it point blank period. im tired of so called men and women of God prostituting the gift and those that coming to them for help arent getting helped. cut him off!! he is a wolf in sheep clothing. and yes i can judge, because im judging rightly as the bible gives me authority to do so. as a man of God notoriey shouldnt even be in your circle. Jesus avoided fame because notoriety will lift you up to a place where you cant reach folk. cut this guy off!

by NoName (not verified) on September 3, 2007 - 8:22am

I am with Minister Moore and hope you are joking....

All his prophecies are pre-fabricated and nothing is specila about it- If you get your hands on someone who paid the same amount the same day like you, you will learn that they are all identical

Bishop Jordan is constantly asking for money, which is used for his own greed

Stay away from him

by Zed (not verified) on June 21, 2008 - 9:15am

WOW, i feel so sorry for you.. he has tricked your mind into thinking he is actually speaking with the word of God? while he drives a Mercedes and you still drive your ford torus.. He is making Millions off of you people.. using one thing the law of attraction.. If you believe you want something enough you will have it..

YOU DONT NEED THIS FRAUD HACK TO TEACH YOU THAT!!!

The info is FREE to enlightenment its all over the NET.. DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY ANOTHER DIME!!!

HE will get whats he has got coming to him .. and im willing to bet it will have to do with mismanagement of funds.

So then what does he do?

the WORD THIS MONTH IS TWICE AS EXPENSIVE Because GOD says so this will be a profitable month SO GIVE DOUBLE!!! and RECEIVE DOUBLE!!!

HOW DUMB ARE YOU!!!!! People are so challenged and they let there loneliness's blind them into doing anything.

PROPHET JORDANS TARGET AUDIENCE

KEY WORD "DEPRESSED about Life"

POORSICKDEPRESSED

Overly Trusting because they want to be free of this jail cell of deprersstion. So they in pure desperation they see this smooth talking man with all these celebrity people backing him.

Telling these people give me what money you have left and you will prosper!!

STOP THE THIEF!!! STOP THE THIEF!!!

GOD WOULD NEVER ASK FOR A DIME FOR YOUR LOVE AND HIS TEACHINGS!! WHY SHOULD A PROPHET? unless you belive the Prophet is above God then maybe you shouldnt be helped if your that far gone..

IT's Sad, So Very Very Sad.. but hey its all our faults we have people in our culture that feel so lonely and ill that they have to give money to some guy on late night television... Its just the Drugs, We have Drugs Issues because, its LIke "Guns don't kill people, people Kill people" "Drugs Don't Kill Peaple, abusing drugs Kills people" you cant abuse a drug, unless you choose to abuse that drug. why would somone choose that. Many issues, stemming as far back as child birth or maybe a perfect family but the people the child grows up around will be apart of him when he gets older.. there for society is the one i blame for all the problems we have. So in Conclusion to that. I blame myself, AND ALL OF YOU!!! haha

To answer your question about Master Prophet.  You see here on Earth we don't have a Master Jedi. We have a Master Prophet, which simply means the "force", is strong with this one.  It has yet to be determined which "force" it is but I believe it will be revealed in due time.

Men like this simply prey upon the weak and the desperate.

This is brilliant. Really, think about it. Work with me here. Bernie (sorry, Master Prophet Bernard) is selling Jesus Junk ( http://www.philcooke.com/jesus_junk ) without having to buy the junk! No warehouse needed. No crates of unused crap... nothing but a word from God (or somebody) and dang, that doesn't take up any space at all. This is like total profit. Sadly, as Bernie conjures his way to the bank, there are a line of Christians all too happy to help him out. When I produced "The 700 Club" there was a guy who was booked on the show a couple of times each year and he was known to operate in the prophetic gift. People would "casually" wander from their cubicles or edit suites, placing themselves strategically in his path so he would glance at them and per chance deliver a word from the Lord (jotted quickly down on a pad of paper by his able assistant). People are hungry for a word from God. They are so desperate that they will send thousands of dollars to Master Soothsayer Bernie in hopes that they might find direction. We don't need the Bible Answer Man (he has his own issues) or the FCC to kick Bernie in his prophetic butt (I edited out tons of great joke lines here!)... what we need are preachers to stop dribbling out seven secrets to success, or ten teasures that transform, and start speaking prophetically and directly to our generation. People are so thirsty for God that in the absence of the water of the word, they will gobble down Bernie's sand. God will judge Bernie, but we (producers, writers, editors, directors...) will also be judged if we do not deliver the prophetic truth clearly and honestly. [Here's the troubling part - Phil, why do you watch this stuff when you work out? I've heard of stress tests, but this could be dangerous.) Joe - Director of Media & Marketing - Grand Rapids First

I think it is wrong for somone that has been given a gift to take it and prostitute it. I am currently studying using his book spiritual protocol. He clearly has the ability to hear from God... However the bible clearly says "let he that is free from sin cast the first stone"... Its no ones place to judge where his heart is ,or decide what he should repent for. Its okay to see the truth and speak of it... but it is God who brings correction....Perhaps those critisizing should read his book on spiritual protocol. And reading Watchnman Nee's Spiritual Authority couldnt hurt. The problem in our country is that authority is constantly being abused or defied starting from our presidents on down to the working class citizen....God help us all. Why are we teaching our children to be disobedient?

by Brenda (not verified) on July 2, 2008 - 6:10am

You are so right. If people want a word from the Lord, all they have to do is to enter into His presence of the Most High King with praise and worship. But that is too hard for people to do, it takes time and effort and repentance, surrender and obedience. Here is the prophetic word. Just do the above and you are in the presence of God Almighty - worship him and you are in his presence.

WOW what an experience. And God never fails to give you what you want and need.

I will say that Bernard is quite engaging and for those "christians" looking for another way, that it is quite easy for them to succumb to the enticing words of Bernard. But those who have the wisdom of God they can hear the voice of God telling them that Bernard is a sheep in wool clothing. Thank God for his still small voice that says "this is the way, walk ye therein it". He says - my sheep no my voice and no other voice will they hear.....

by Bro Meekins (not verified) on August 21, 2008 - 11:55am

My question is there is no scripture for "Master Prophet" so then why do we need prophets in 2008 when christ was the ultimate sacrifice and he left us with the spirit and with prayer christ is the direct link to GOD the only reason they need prophets in the old testament was because they didnt have that connection. Bernard is a false prophet. If he studied book chapter and verse of the "word" he would have fear and trembling of what he is doing

by ckoke (not verified) on November 21, 2006 - 10:40am

We've all heard of the fashion police, but having theology cops is a brilliant idea. Actually, the fashion police and the theology cops will most likely be able to double charge most of their offenders. I'm afraid the amount of arrests would be staggering. I must defend Phil in his need to watch these programs. First of all, it can be very entertaining. Secondly, it's important to know why the secular world still views Christian Television in such a negative way. We need to know what's being aired in the name of Jesus... the good, the bad and the ugly.

Did you check out the "art work"?  The man has redone the old masters starting with the nativity, replacing the face of Jesus with His face.

He takes the whole concept of being created in God's image to a scary place.

by Natasha Smith (not verified) on March 4, 2007 - 1:40pm

Is it scary because it isn't european face or that it is inconceivable that God as God could have created other gods (man) that are capable of creating and being as he did and as he is? Maybe what is really needed is an open and honest discussion about our so-called bible and the many changes the "Word of God" has experience through the ages. Many of you would be very surprised to realized that what you call christianity isn't what Jesus Chirst really advocated at all. But what do I know...

by Natasha Smith (not verified) on March 4, 2007 - 1:56pm

Ohh and FYI The Laws of Thinking by Bishop E. Bernard Jordan just became a NY Times Bestseller five days ago. Team work makes the dream work.

by Daniel Huisman on March 4, 2007 - 6:26pm

Perhaps you could quote the part of the "original" bible where Jesus told us to stop making disciples and sell soap?

by Mary Hutchinson (not verified) on March 19, 2007 - 10:29am

What is scary is that one man could think that God was made in his image, not the other way around.

God will not be mocked. He did not create man as gods, He created us as humans. Otherwise, sin would not be an issue and we would not have needed Jesus.

I am not at all sure we are reading the same Bible. Mine says pride comes before a fall. That I do know.

by Gloria Sharp (not verified) on July 19, 2007 - 4:25pm

It is sad that we would rather debate the word of God based on the actions of one man whether it be right or WRONG than seek the face of God through prayer and supplication. Is there one that will study to show himself approved? If we were not such a lazy people, we would stop seeking false prophecies to tell us what we should or shouldn't be doing. There would be no need to watch God's word being pimped and hungry people being prostituted, if God's people would seek ye first the kingdom of heaven. We want quick fixes to get material things while our SOUL thirst for God's will. I wouldn't pay for a Master Prophet or an Apprentice Prophet to PREDICT or FORECAST anything to me, when I can go directly to my FATHER in heaven. There's a lot of false teachers and false prophets among us, but if we try the word by the WORD(bible) we could put a bunch of this mess out of business. Yes that's right, BUSINESS!!

by ray stone (not verified) on December 29, 2007 - 5:54pm

Indeed, this is alarming to the Body of Christ. Balamm made the prophetic gift merchandize and was judged severly by God. May God have mercy on these who are doing likewise. For a good read check out "A Step Into Deliverance" by T. Pugh. It's an engrossing autobiography about one man's battle with and ultimate defeat over the spirit of jezebel. A real page turner!

by proverbs31 woman (not verified) on February 24, 2008 - 11:42pm

You know it's scary when you say that ( it's scary because it isn't a european face or that it is inconceivable that God as God could have created other gods (man) that are capable of creating and being as he did and as he is? I mean do you mean cause he is black and if so... No one knows Gods race! But the bible said that his hair was of wool and his feet was of bronze. Now don't get me wrong I am not sure about the proclaimed man of God, I say pray for him if we all come to agreement he will be set free from what ever force may have him. Pray that the strong hold will be let go in the blood of Jesus.

by anonymous4jesus (not verified) on November 21, 2006 - 3:10pm

Scary...

This guy, by his site and Phil's account, doesn't seem to be doing something new and offensive, just a new degree of what the vast majority of Salesmen for Christ are guilty of. I am a particular fan of exploiting the lowest common denominator.
" The Poor Will Always Be With Us"- Thank God or all these preachers will be out of cash.

Maybe they should order "The Power of Money" by Bishop Jordan, who found his ultimate calling at 15. Good job. I'm pretty sure I wasn't looking for it then, but good to know that kind of ultimate information is available that early. Now blow your next 60 years working it. At least his photos are in prophetic focus.

by jsindorf on November 21, 2006 - 3:24pm

I like the Bishop's Prophetic Principle #59 - "When you start in error, you continue in error." At least he is consistent. But let's get back to Phil's question: If church leaders are judged and punishment is determined and carried out for sexual sins and other very public abuses, then why not for heresy? Are there not leaders that the Master Prophet would respect who could come around him and say, "yes, you are filling a niche, and making a bundle of money... but you have gotten off track, and you need to step back, you need to get off television and stop doing your prophetic words, and confess and seek God, and maybe someday be restored to leadership. Why do we never hear of this happening? If leaders would start holding each other accountable, maybe we would not see such drastic falls from such dizzying heights. Joe

Exactly! Am I my brother's keeper? Or is he my brother?

by kim on November 21, 2006 - 4:39pm

This makes me think of when Jesus turned over tables in front of the temple. Religiosity, pride, and making money off the naivety and innocence of others, is unacceptable. God is Truth, Satan is the deceiver, and the way we live out our lives reveals who we are living with and for. As leaders, we must fight on behalf of our family who are being deceived and led away from what is True. Some may never find their way back. But in addition to the anger I feel on behalf of all who this man deceives for selfish ambition, I also feel sad and burdened for him. He, too, is very much deceived and believes in so much that is false. So many of us find ourselves at some point running on our own fuel and not living for God but for our own names sake, our own success, our own gain. Yes, this man has gone to an extreme, but the root is pride and deception. Just as it was for Ted Haggard. So as we get rightfully angry against the lies that are leading so many away from what is true and good, I encourage all of us to recognize our own humanness, and be on guard for any lies that we may be believing. The war is on, and too many great leaders are being taken out. Let's pray for each other, and ask our Abba to hold us especially tight to his chest.

by Master Apostle and Divine Potentate (not verified) on November 21, 2006 - 8:32pm

I dizzern that this here is about Massive Profit. It's more of the gospel of "sell to the masses and live with the classes."

It's all about the money. That's obvious. So we should say it, condemn it, and move on.

People like this are part of the reason I'm embarrassed to be a part of anything to do with Christian television. But we've been seeded with the fear that we somehow need to be silent lest we "touch God's anointed."

Don't we owe it to the poor people that are prey to such charlatans to say something and condemn this kind of crap?

by Master Debater (not verified) on November 21, 2006 - 8:53pm

OK, check out this product description from the Master Prophet -

Mentoring: The Iconoclastic Approach to Development in Ministry
Prophetic Principle #48 - Blessings are connected with obedience. There are 9 stages of disloyalty #1 is an independent spirit.

In my experience, ministries that (overly)emphasize obedience and teach that independence is a sin (in this case disloyalty #1) are rooted in control and domination, not in freedom.

My guess is that the obedience being taught includes obedience and loyalty to the Master Prophet, especially when it comes to money. Only through complete loyalty and obedience will you be able to access the blessings of God.

Let me aks you all this - what is our responsibility when it comes to someone abusing the weakest among us in the name of Jesus?

by Morpheous on November 24, 2006 - 9:47am

Our Responsibility Is to confront and expose the wolf in sheep clothing that he is. Paul in the book of Acts chap 20 pleaded to tears that the time will come that men would creep in unawares. Ordained for the purpose to deceive the very elect if possible. Men teaching damndable heresies, doctrines of demons, myths and fables. Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. Master Illusionist Bernard is a modern day practitioner of the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. The word Nicolaitans means "conquer the laity". It was a whole movement solidified with Constantine's Nicene council in which he and 300 Bishops colluded together to come up with the Nicene Creed in 325 A.D. This Creed in essence took the liberty, truth and power away from the people and ceded it to a few politically and economically empowered mega-churches of that day. Master Illusionist Bernard is of this paradigm, this creed where they took functions of the Body of Christ i.e. elder, overseer/Bishop etc and made those functions offices. Thus creating a hierarchical system not intended by Christ or the Apostles. Just like Balaam, Master Illusionist Bernard uses his gifts for gain. Fleecing the flock. Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. We must test the fruits, try these men with the word and when they are exposed for prestidigitation in the pulpit we should shun them. These Master illusionists know most people don’t read the word, thus he can operate with near impunity. When in plain truth he is in violation of the words in red: Matthew 23:8-9, "But be not ye called Rabbi: for One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for One is your Father, Which is in heaven." One is your Master…not some clown in a black turban he needs to be on the Vegas strip but not in a pulpit.

I have to admit getting a kick that so many of these sites refer to themselves as "researchers."  It's as if there are teams of academics in white lab coats pouring over documents.  More likely, it's a single person sitting there in their PJ's....

Prophetic Awareness Soap
This is a soap that helps bring protection and give you a greater ability to function with intuition and insight. $7 / bar

by Bob Bonebrake (not verified) on November 28, 2006 - 11:14am

There are times when we must stand up against obvious deceit. How could a bar of soap make us better or more insightful Christians? Yet, that appears to me to be the claim here. (Although, I will confess I generally perfer Christians who bathe to the other kind. But, that's another story.) Col. 2:9 in the American Standard Version says "Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of man, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ..." The main battleground in the fight against deceitful ministries probably belongs in the local churches, as close as possible to the Christians who might be fooled into financially supporting soap-peddling master prophets. With prayer and caution we should speak up, but local pastors and regional evangelists should also be speaking up.

The Myth is that:Is He really a Prophet......Thats the Myth-The Mystry is that...But What He Says Comes To Pass!!!!

In The Written Judgement -The Master Prophet Prophecied:Tsunami,911,Bush in Office,Katrina-way back- in 1989...He Saith it....and it Comes To Pass...I dont see God Confirming your Word and you Want Us to Listen to you Phill & Gang???

by Jody Aberegg (not verified) on January 23, 2007 - 10:28pm

I first saw this man at 4 am on one of the christian channels I watch a few months ago , I immediately sensed that something is not right with him. It sickens me to see so many people to be drawn to this man. In my view he is a deceiver straight from hell. I have checked his website out and am amazed about how it is ALL about the money. Tonight I came across him on a website. I watched his live internet streaming tonite on www.streamingfaith.com and clearly see that he is nothing but a fraud just taking innocent peoples money all in the name of God. During this live streaming I watched as he was guilting people into buying 12 books (The Law of Thinking) because he really wants this book to be number 1 and then he wanted everyone in the chatroom approx 100 from what he said (I was not in the chatroom, but watching the live stream) to go to Amazon.com to post a comment and then got very upset that only 17 had posted to a discussion that he had started, so he made them all in the chatroom agree to post a one line comment in regard to his discussion of "I am Money" And alot did do that! The first 2 hrs of his show was all about getting people to buy at least 12 books, and would check throughout the night to see if his sale figures on the new book had gone up and they had not and he was very upset and would go on and on making people feel guilty that they had not bought 12 of his books but believe me many had!! Anyone who is a christian has to see that this man is a true deceiver and is not of the Almighty God. He does not talk very much of Jesus Christ. I read some of the amazon comments and alot of the people were saying they were GOD and that they are Money. Money is truly the main focus with this guy. In my opinion he is a glorified psychic using the name of my GOD and this upsets me terribly... When you get a reading from him you have to give a birthday which to me is the biggest indicator of a psychic. Him and his puppet prophets were all laughing at one point about what sign (virgo, gemini etc.) they were and their personalities and any true christian or prophet for that matter knows that we do not go by that kind of stuff it is ALL a part of witchcraft. It truly cannot get any clearer to me. There were people who had given $1000 in "Seed" as they called it and everyone would clap and say "Praise God" and then Jordan would call them immediately on the phone to prophecy to them but he got many things incorrect as I was watching then he would say "God why are you doing this to me"? "I hate when God does this to me" and then would ask the caller alot of questions and would then generalize his comments to them. He never talks about the money he receives going for the furthering of the Gospel as the bible says... It is just so sickening to see all these people giving their money in the name of God and it appears as if the God he is representing is not the God that christians serve!! I have no problem with people giving money, I am a tither and give offerings regularly but we are supposed to give for the furthering of the Gospel not to make someone rich. And God says to not put your focus on money but on him and he would supply all of our needs, that he is our source, not Jordan the So Called Master Prophet!!! This needs to be exposed so people can know the truth and the truth will set them free as the word of God says. There is a comment from one of his followers above that says how come he knows all the things he does, well if you read the bible it talks about how fimiliar spirits (evil spirits) can communicate with people (psychics) just like a true prophet does with the Holy Spirit.  We all know that satan copies everything that is of God to deceive people and the Bible warns us about this exact thing!!!

by Miri (not verified) on February 25, 2007 - 8:55am

We can only pray.....for this world is hungry for a sign of the Creator. But we need to find and build a relationship with God ourselfs. I feel like vomitting, it is so disturbing to my spirit....even though I believe we should never become the slave to money rather the master of money,......but that does not mean take the less fortunate for a ride to give them false hope....and than mislead them in a way that it ruins their life :-(.

I am TRYING to go to another site and leave this man alone, BUT he won't leave me alone. Tell me how a man of God and a Prophet can just outright break the law by ignoring people's request for his ministry to stop calling their house every week and try to get money from me. After all my Bible tells me that I can go bodly to the throne of God and he will give me all I need. AND what about the people that couldn't afford his message anyway, and I am not talking about a lack of faith, I am talking about people who really does nothave the money without going into debt, which by the way is not biblical, the bible says, "owe no man anything." Are those peoplenot worthy of God's message? Just get him (Master Prophet) to leave me alone and I would gladly leave this website to of you who want to believe this stuff.

I totally agree with your comments about the "Master Profit". I tried to get some answers from his staff about why Bernard Jordan is fleecing God's people they however, felt that they didn't owe me an explaination and they claimed I was harrassing the ministry with my comments on their website.  This was long after I asked them to never send me any e-mails about their ministry but they continued to do it.  I have sent information to the "Bible Answer Man", as well as some pastors locally to do some research on this man so I am standing by for some replys.

Great.  Keep us posted...

Just wondering if it's the fact that Bernard is charging without calling it a donation or first fruits, or have we gotten to a point as Christians where we doubt so much it's impossible he "just may be gifted". You all should pray and let God do the judging and it must be somewhat entertaining to bring notice on your private site. If he is not official the light will show.

If Bernard helps people believe that the circumstances will come to past and they do, as long as the person is praying to almighty God what does the vessel have to do with Gods blessing.
Pray for them, and continue to thank God for your breath in your body and every other wonderful thing God has bestowed upon us.

I am angry a this man for bilking so many poor people, but it their fault as well for following the false prophet. I believe that if God tells someone to tell another person something, he should just tell them without a price.

I think his followers want to know their future so bad that they are willing to give all their money to hear whatever this man tells them. God does not allow us to follow psychics, it says so in the bible and by his charging for services that is all he is.

If what he tells you (OF SUBSTANCE) does not come true, then God did not tell him to tell you that (this is what God says in the word). Look at what he is telling people, most of it is generic. He might say for example "someone you know will die"....well as we all know people die everyday and sooner or later it will be somone you know!

Don't be fooled. Go to God for yourself and He will give you the answers you need....

God has a history of using a jack ass.

That does not mean we should promote one to be on TV.

Jesus spoke often in the Word of how to recognize false prophets (or the anti- Christ which simply means against Christ). The Word is judgment. If one is not a believer and follower of Christ....he is none of His as Jesus has clearly stated in the Word. It is sad to see vulnerable people who really follow and believe in people who are not aligned with the Word...what they don't realize is that they are not following Christ. The accountability falls with the leader AND the follower. I believe if you are truly meditating and studying the Word, have a definite prayer life seeking the face of the Living God diligently everyday (more than twice daily), you will not open yourself to an occasion to stumble. Spending time in the presence of the Lord changes you. God speaks to His people. Jesus says...My sheep hear my voice and the voice of a STRANGER they will not follow. The sheep of Jesus know the voice of a stranger. I can hear someone close to me speak and may not know they are near...they could have just come in the house without my knowledge. As soon as they speak I know their voice! The voice of God is the same way. In stating this, I am in no way saying that prophets are not given to the body. They are.... but so are teachers, preachers, evangelist, and Apostles. There should be a balance to everything. If Jesus is not the center of all that is being done and said.....something is definitely wrong. We need to meditate and stay close to Him to have this type of discernment. ALL of God's children are special to Him. His REAL children will give ALL the Glory to God because they realize that HE ALONE IS GOD. When a person lifts themselves up and points everything to themselves...God is not in that. God is not going to take back a gift He has given because it is being misused....but, HE IS GOING TO JUDGE THESE ACTS SEVERELY.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23

I have been praying about the above mentioned ministry. I'm not a judge of any man, because God forbids it. I feel it's particularly important not to judge a servant of God, even if we don't fully agree with their teaching or lifestyle. SO it's not my intent to judge this man, but to attempt to bring whatever insight I can to aid others in their interpretation of this ministry. But God does want us to walk as children of Light, rightly dividing and discerning the truth of His Word. God expects His people to exercise wisdom about all things related to giving and ministries we align with. We must use spiritual wisdom and only give to ministries that have God's seal of approval on them. I haven't seen this man too many times and I no longer watch for the following reason. I know that at least one, maybe more, of his books are published by Hay House. That publishing company is affiliated with Louise Hay. I have read her books when I was in New Age. It is my belief that she is a very spiritual woman and I feel her intentions are good. But I also feel she unknowingly operates with a spirit of witchcraft. I say that because I have a thorough knowledge of God's Word through a lifetime of studying it, and attempting to rightly divide it by the Spirit of God. I have read her materials and lined them up with scriptural teaching. She is not mainstream Christianity. She is totally aligned with New Age. This was my first clue that the above mentioned ministry needed to be handled carefully. It's my belief that he probably hasn't had the spiritual maturity to learn to discern associations to a proper degree spiritually. New Age publishers may be an easier door to walk through, in publishing controversial materials. New Age embraces an abundance teaching and perhaps that was the ease with which this type of material could be published. But I feel it was a mistake on the part of the above mentioned ministry to not check out the publishers spiritual background more. I think it's been a mistake to not exercise greater wisdom and have greater understanding of such matters as a Christian leader. I feel he has probably lacked balance and depth in these matters because of his young age and not having a balanced understanding of the full counsel of God's Word. But I feel he's needed to do his homework before making any such business or spiritual alliance, as a Christian minister. Without true discernment and spiritual maturity, one can't possibly understand the results of such a union. It gives an open door to all sorts of demonic influence and deception. PLEASE Church of Jesus Christ, pray for such people and do not be defled by subtle spiritual error. That is why we need to consistently be studying God's Word and know it. That's the real key about error. If we don't know the Word thoroughly, we will not recognize error when we see or hear it. That is why many have been led astray, by having an element of truth and running with it, without being mature in the Word of God. We must be very careful about everything that comes into our lives and homes through any portal or influence. A portal is any entrance that can bring in spiritual energy. Be it an open door, window, computer line, cable line, television, phone line, reading materials, tapes, videos, books, gifts, other items or a person. Be wise and keep your lives and homes untainted by the world and unholy teachings and communion. Sometimes we have to really try things by the Spirit, seeking God and waiting upon HIM for the answer, not the opinions of men.

This young man may not have any idea he's aligned with witchcraft through this publishing company. And it may not be his only harmful association, unknowingly. It's my belief that he has lacked spiritual depth and not had a balance of spiritual understanding, not meaning to err, but aligning with Spirits that can influence through association. I feel it's a very dangerous thing to not watch our spiritual contacts, not only as lay people but particularly as spiritual leaders. Therefore, being led off the righteous path, having taken some truth and not had the maturity to discern when light has moved into a gray area. Let us know who we are receiving from and guard our hearts with all diligence.. Let us seek God well regarding any monies we distribute and where it is to go. I have truly learned as a spiritual leader to not align with any ministry or minister, without seeking God's heart and without doing a thorough background check. We must watch the lives of spiritual leaders, to see if they are balanced in their teaching and living. I do not ever want to touch God's annointed, less a curse come upon me. But I also feel a need and duty to warn others to seek God's wisdom thoroughly in all matters and relations, before aligning with them. See if there is anything that gives an indication of instability or immaturity in their spiritual walk. There is so much new age that has subtly infiltrated God's people. We must be very astute and alert to be able to judge between light and the gray areas. Please, my brothers and sisters, seek God and be alert to every ministry that is extreme where finances are concerned. There are alot of ministries that are teaching prosperity, and I believe in the Covenant Blessings of Abraham. It's scriptural. Read Deut. 14. But it must be balanced by the Word. When it comes to a ministry or minister owning a $13M or $2M dollar home, I have to draw the line. What man or woman of God needs that extravagance when people are dying of hunger and spiritual food? I don't feel it's even an appropriate image for a servant of God. Let Jesus' lifestyle be the guide. I feel it has stepped outside of God's wisdom and truth. Monies are to propagate the Gospel and to help the needy, which are abundant in this earth. Be wise! Discern through counsel of God's Word. Know the background of people you support. Study them thoroughly and put seed in good soil, that only God has approved you to support.

God's wisdom and guidance to us all!

I'm leaving off my name. But I am a minister of Jesus Christ, serving in a fulltime missionary capacity in the US,

This is a follow up on my previous post here, which is listed just above this one. I went back to do abit more research so I could offer precise, accurate information regarding the publishing company Bernard Jordan has used, Hay House. The company is in fact affiliated with New Ager Louise Hays. I've listed some of her information below, that was taken from her official website and another website that sells her products. Again, my intent is not to assault my brothers and sisters in Christ, although Louise Hay doesn't claim to be a mainline Christian. But Bernard Jordan, does claim to be a Christian Minister/Leader/Prophet. So my intent is not to assault Bernard Jordan, but to give credible, documented information on his background, that will reflect a lack of spiritual knowledge/maturity on his part, in his aligning with New Age Leaders in business and spiritual alliances. I hope you find the following information helpful. And to show I'm not a gossip, I'm also going to Bernard Jordan's official website to share my finding with him as well, for the sake of edification.

Below is information from Louise Hays' official website, that will give an account of who she is and what she publishes. The first note below was taken from her website:

http://www.hayhouse.com/authorbio.php?id=102

Hay House was founded in 1984 by Louise L. Hay as a way to self-publish her first two books, Heal Your Body and You Can Heal Your Life (YCHYL), both of which became bestsellers and established Louise as a leader in the New Age movement. To date, YCHYL has sold more than 16 million copies worldwide and has been published in 25 languages. Today, Hay House is committed to publishing products that have a positive self-help slant conducive to healing planet Earth.

Also, below is a Louise Hays CD that is offered on the New Age website below. After reviewing the following website, it was found to contain such witchcraft topics as Divination, Hypnotherapy, Psychic and Paranormal, Teen Witch Help, etc:

http://www.mindbodyspiritshop.co.uk/acatalog/Bargain_Mind_Bo ...

Here is a Louise Hays CD for sale. Below is why I find fault with it.

Healing with the Angels CD - Doreen Virtue The Angels are powerful healers, yet they cannot help you unless you ask for their assistance. In this uplifting CD, Dr. Doreen Virtue, a metaphysical healer who works with the angelic realm, helps you discover how you can receive healing assistance from your angels. Doreen discusses various ways that angels can assist you in healing your physical challenges, relationships, finances, careers, friends and family members; as well as helping to ensure your physical safety. She also leads you through a powerful meditation that invites archangels, and your own guardian angels, to heal every area of your life. You’ll meet Archangel Gabriel, who brings you angel affirmations and visualizations; Archangel Michael, who assists you with spirit releasement; and Archangel Uriel, who helps you build self esteem and confidence. You’ll love how the angels help you feel refreshed, energized and revitalized

My comment: The problem I have with the Louise Hay CD, as well as with many New Age Teachers/Leaders/Writers is that some of their teachings are a direct violation of scripture. God's Word says that if we choose any POWER (angelic, or other power) other than the power of God, a curse will come upon us. (I forget the text on this scripture, but it's there.) The CD is clearly encouraging people to call on Angels to assist them. There is nowhere in scripture that we are given permission to call upon an angel. Because the spirit realm is filled with good and evil spirits, those who are not strong spiritually, and who don't have Biblical knowledge can open themselves to demonic spirits unknowingly. This is a great danger.

There is another problem I have with Bernard Jordan's teaching. He teaches "The Law of Attraction", which is a teaching going around the internet, and reaching millions. The problem with this teaching, although somewhat Biblical, is that it doesn't allow room for God in one's planning and envisioning the future. All efforts are made by self, therefore propagating a Humanistic ideology. I've enclosed Pastor Tom Brown's (Pastor/Evangelist in El,Paso, TX) comments about "The Law of Attraction" below. It is the best explanation of the teaching from a solid Christian standpoint that I've seen. It is on his website:

Although their are many views on this topic, we should not judge any one. We all have a thorn in our side and sins that we hopelfully are trying to get dilivered from. Rather you agree or disagree with Bishop Jordan. Understand that he is a man of God, it does not matter who we like are dislike or rather they are using their gift in the heavenly realm or the zodiac realm.

Saul was anoited by God as king although God fired him from being king and anoited David as king, David could have killed Saul but he couldnt touch him because God anoited him. That is why David said touch not my anoited and do my prophets no harm. I understand that some of you all are hurt and sickend by this, understand that the vengance is the Lord and he will repay if he is doing things out of the will of God. It is not our job to critisize someone who is weak in faith and if they are not doing what we feel the will of God is. In the old testaments we couldnt go to the Prophets or even the priest without a gift neither the king. Thats why the scripture says our gift will make room for us.

Bishop Jordan has touched many lives through the word of God that came out of his mouth. Maybe it is not your season for your prophecy are you just dont believe in the Gift at all because of many people who claim to be prophets and that are teaching false doctrine. You have to pray for them if you are really strong in the word of God and also have a strong prayer life then the Bible states We who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak. We have to take our mouths off of the woman and the man that God sends trust me God will deal with those who have their own doctrine other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus even said many should come to him on that day saying Lord Lord did I heal in your name did I prophesy in your name and he will say depart from me you worker of inquity I knew you not. Let Jesus say that not us we have to pray for the man and woman of God and let God be the judge. If you feel that it is not God you dont have to recieve it but keep your mouth shut because they are still God anoited.

Dont let your pride get in the way too because you as just as wrong as the person who is doing the wrong. Because you are bearing false witness we dont know what God is telling him we dont, dont knock those who gives 3,000 for the school of the prophets, dont they have Theology Schools online thats not free neither. Please for your sakes dont bash him for that lift him up in prayer like they say the one finger you are pointing at others there are more fingers pointing at you so dont judge pray. You are not perfect neither and I am not neither we all have sins that we are dealing with every day. God Bless You all and pray for the prophet there is a blessing when you pray for others that is what we are here for to be intercessors be the body that builds up the kingdom and not tear down. Be a WHEAT and not a TARE.

Here is the sad but true fact about having a gift- "-It comes without repentance"- so what that means is that Father blesses us with certain gifts; like prophecy, for instance and we can move in them but still be have a faulty life or agenda. Balaam was "once" a prophet who ended with the legacy of "sorcerer" because he used his gift to curse instead of bless, he used his gift for personal gain aligning himself with the enemies of God's people. In other words, aligning himself against the one True God. I'm not accusing Prophet Jordan of anything, I am not his judge, but what I will say is it is sad when people try to defend wrong. If anyone's actions go against the word of the Living God then we should be sideing with the Living God. Just because some of his prophecy's have come to pass and you went from "ashy-to-classy" (as someone stated) doesn't mean he is not human and can not fall into deception. We have to know the WORD for ourselves, so that when seductive, deceptive spirits come along we can discern them for what they are. As a matter of fact we should pray for the spirit of discernment. Your spirit should be alarmed when prophecy's are for sale. I mean, we should sow a seed- that is scripture and in turn we reap a blessing, but when we turn or gifts into a business? please. Jesus when stark-raving mad when they were selling in the temple. Church is turning into this. Wake up.

The Anointing on Bernard Jordan's life is amazing. The presence of God around him is also powerful. Although I do not fully understand the money, I know that if the money is used for God's work, it is good money.

Many of you even in this room who are critical of this man, do not know him. Nor do you know God. Because if you knew God, you would recognize the anointing upon his life. Money and ministry go hand and hand. Without money, those who are ministers would not be able to give into your life, because there focus would be upon self, as to survive.

If Bernard Jordan was wrong, wouldn't you think the government would shut him down as they have investigated everyone else? Even those Televangilists that you watch? But with 30 years experience, he continues to prove that he is called, for the work of God will always prove the test of time. Money should never come first, perhaps the approach should be different. Many people such as yourself are not opposed in giving to a ministry. But with this said, think about this clearly and with intelligence.

Go to any MAJOR ministry and ask them to speak into your life. Go to any well-known minister and ask them for a word from God. I have come to the conclusion that Bernard Jordan is not so much after your money as you think he is, because much of his money is given away. There is nothing wrong with being wealthy. But there is something wrong with being wealthy and not helping people. He continues to speak into Millions of lives and he is equipping many people for self-improvement.

I think we should re-evaluate our approach and look at the good side of this man, rather than all the negative. Your sinful desires pull out the negative, but if you had the perception of Christ, you would see people through the eyes of love.

I agree with your comments. With all that the comments that have been written, I have not read one comment that proved he is a "false prophet". Now you may not agree with his approach, but if you're going to speak about him being a fraud...show some proof.

I think it's time for believers to stop associating wealth with wickedness. My bible says that God wishes above all things, that I should prosper, as my soul prospers.

It's amazing to me that when believers talk about blessings, they put limits on what God is doing in people's lives. I have no problem with a man of God being wealthy. If that man or woman has the faith to believe God for riches, then who am I to doubt or speak against it.

I believe the same God that has blessed Bishop Jordan and many other Pastors/Ministers is the same God that will bless me!

If Bishop Jordan isn't a prophet, God will judge him accordingly. If he's not the prophet he claims to be...show me some proof and stop all the rhetoric!

God bless.

Seems like you have a formula down. If you don't know the annointing of Jordon then you don't know God.

It does seem that the Bible says that the person who normally fills this type of Role is Jesus.

I prefer to keep the focus on Jesus. Good luck in your choice.

by Stephen Choate (not verified) on July 20, 2008 - 8:51pm

The anointing upon a man's Life is spiritual discerned. Let me go deeper in my approach. If you cannot discern a man's gift or anointing with accuracy, then your knowledge of God is limited, because the closer you are to God, the "Greater Foresight" you will ultimately carry. So yes, by discernment or one mans gift/anointing can you reveal how well you know God.

It is the the Anointing of Bishop Jordan that I am speaking of, but rather the anointing of any man of God. It is always right to question and challenge where the money is going. But in regards to this approach, it would be better for these people who accuse him, to better themselves by looking in the "Mirror". Perhaps as they focus upon self and not others, they may find a secret sin to work on, instead of making judgment's which connect to personal protocals and inconsistent opinions.

I am not defending this man, but rather express the truth of what I know. In light of this discovery, I believe it is only wise to look to Christ first and foremost, as you mentioned and not one man or even your own minister/pastor that you see every Sunday.

Christ should always come first-

One day I stubbled across his ministry on tv, prophecising and encouraging viewers to call in to receive a prophecy. Well, I called this number 800-296-1941 and got a recording of him speaking and instructing me to leave my name, address, and birthday, and that I will receive a letter giving a shocking secret that has happened in my life. At this point, I'm like wow!, if this man can reveal to me what that shocking secret was, then I have no reason to doubt him. So, I waited and waited and waited for months, finally I received the letter. Anxiously, reading the letter there was not a shocking secret that was revealed. But, there was talk about what God intends to do for me if I sow this seed of a small amount (don't remember). When he did not follow through on his promise, I decided he was a fake who was just after money. Then one day I received another letter talking about what God has in store for me if I sow this seed (different amount). As time past more letters came, and then they stopped. Well today I received a call from NY. I didn't recognize the caller id, but was curious and answered. This time it was another recording telling me to call 641-594-7500 and to give this conference code 359013# for a conference with Master Prophet because God has instructed him to prophecy to me. I made this long distance call and followed the rules, and instantly I was able to here a conference which included him and other prophets calling names of individuals who have sow a seed from $37-$352 dollars. A prophet was assigned to that individual to give their prophecy, and then followed with Master Prophets prophecy. Furthermore, some givers would be instructed after sowing a seed of $35 dollars to sow $352 dollar more because they had more prophecy and counseling and offers to share with them. Anybody that gave $118 would receive a book of prophecy that included about Barack Obama becoming the President of the United States and that African Americans should not rejoice in this because there will be much suffering amongst them. That Barack will be a puppet of munipulation, etc. But, because of the problems I'm having in my life currently I wanted to here something that may be positive about me. So, I called a number 212-316-2177 given by him to sow a seed for $37 , and then called back to NY hoping to hear my name called during the conference. While listening he said to call this number 800-296-1941 to receive a letter from him. Well I did, and what did I get , that same recording telling me that he had a shocking secret to reveal about me. At this point the doubt in my MIND was heavy,I felt so STUPID,and swindled by this man. Now, I wanted to call my bank to put a stop on this payment. As I was thinking of this, the phone rang, it was the NY call. The lady that took my information from my card said that my card would not go through, and she repeated the numbers back to me to confirm. She then asked me did I want to use another card. Feeling so grateful to God, I said no.

I am so glad you took time to right this. No more than an hour ago I was watching this guy on television and decided to search his name. When you broadcast something of this magnitude and have respectable people backing you such as Judge Hatchet, Al Sharpton ? , and Rev Run formerly of Run DMC one tends to beleive that he maybe a real prophet. Honestly I do believe that GOD gives these types of gifts, however often the flesh (humans) tend to exploit the gifts given by GOD. I do not believe that a prophecy should cost you or should you feel pressured to give because someone prophecy to you. Thanks for discussing what he had to say about Obama you saved me a few $.

The only thing that bothers me is that as born again believers our job is to preach the gospel to every living creature and bring people closer to christ, and yet, as believers it seems like the only thing that we are worrying about is pride and money, this is why we have so many people today in society that do not believe in GOD because they are watching us so called christians acting a fool on television, church, and around the world. As a born again believer i decided to stop listening to all these people that calls themselves prophets and just pray for them and be sensitive to the holy spirit, seek the kingdom of GOD FISRT! Do his commandmentsvand be obedient to his word, believe me he will pour you out a blessing its just that simple, and in the end for all of you wonderful works on eart GOD will say "well done thy good and faithful servant"

God bless you all!!

I too believe it is our responsibility to let everyone know about the Gospel and Jesus, and all that God can do and most of all, let this all be under the umbrella of "service". I want to live to serve. I agree that we need to pray for these people on the tele, these self appointed prophets.

I have seen Mr. Jordan's shows, and recently called to hear one of his live phone conferences that allow you to listen and type in a chatroom and the same time, since they cannot hear you over the phone anyway. I could not tell you why in the world I would even consider doing this, but I did. I guess I thought, hey, I can hear their study, ask for prayer and it would be cool....It was not. One "prophetess" told me "don't come asking for something for nothing, and never come to a prophet empty handed". When I told (typed to them) that I didnt have any money to buy anything, one man must have seen my typing (there werent but a few in the chatroom) and he said on the phone "those of you hoding on to your seed, you know you have it and better give it up!"

All I needed was prayer. They did not once offer it to me. Even though I was informed of their sales pressure, It was the middle of th night, and I needed human contact and prayer. I cried all night and prayed because I felt so much anger and hate.

They, just like we all do, need prayer. I called the next day to tell them that I didnt want their "free written prophesy" and the lady said "well, if you asked for it, you can just throw it away when it gets there. I told her I just ordered it very earliy that same morn, she took my name, and I told her that what happened really hurt me, and I just wanted prayer. She hung up on me then. pray for them. I just dont get how people can be so cold.

Sorry so long, I needed to get that out...I think.

God Bless.
